SPEED's coverage almost seems like Kurt died. Geez...
SPEED sure isn't doing any favors to Kurt with that little video package lol
....Whether Kurt knows it or not, Brad's the better driver...
Brad is great, and probably hasn't peaked yet, he is more mature ,the better man, and better team player. I would prefer him any day of the week.
But as for getting up on the wheel, or the pure driving in it's simplest definition, I dunno.
Kurt's raw talent caught my eye early on, he is extremely talented, for driving styles Kyle is an animal, Kurt is finesse. That is the saddest part of his bio, with an ounce of decency and common sense, he could have been one of the all time greats.
The most accurate post so far.We may have this all wrong. I watched Kurt's video, and if he really is upset, he's one hell of a actor. He seems genuinely happy to be moving on, and Shell says they are OK with that. Since Penske doesn't have a driver lined up, you have to wonder if Shell would just boot Kurt without knowing their options. If Kurt really decided to back out on his own, they wouldn't have any choice but to accept his decision, because forcing a guy to drive the car isn't an option.
His best bet now is if Roush will assign him to the #6 car seeing as how they released Ragan, as for sponsorship, dunno, maybe Massengill feminine products...
Sam and Roger said he needs time in NW before going back to cup, but you never know.
What do you think of Scott Speed taking the 22?

I wouldn't be surprised if he goes pro-stock or something else, and possibly runs a low pressure, part time deal in nascar. Maybe Tony could use him to get, and keep, Danica in the top 35.

IDK, Tony has punched him in the face before. Doesn't sound like a very good friendship lol

It would certainly be interesting to see what he does in top-tier equipment, but he doesn't have a very solid cup reputation so he'd certainly have to prove himself worthy.
I'd rather see Speed in the 22 than any of the guys without a drive for 2012...Not sure if I would suggest Elliott Saddler because of his past Cup experience........I do actually believe Parker Kligerman could do the job as Keselowski did in his debut...Parker needs a good coach and I think BK could be helpful to him since they are friends and could work as team mates....( just a thought)
I think it would be a mistake for Stenhouse to go to Penske -- then again, I thought it was a mistake for Keselowski to go to Penske instead of wait another year and look how that turned out for him.

Ricky back in N'wide and maybe run some CUP races in the 21 or a part-time effort in the 6? Jack should not let him get away. He's gonna be a good one!
As for Kurt himself, former champion and one of the very best wheelmen in the sport? I would love to see him somehow hook a ride with Richard Petty, personally.Doubtful, but I think it would be great for that outfit.
So did I. At the time I figured he would just take over for Mark Martin. As far as Ricky goes, where will Roush put him in Cup? Biffle, Edwards and Kenseth aren't leaving anytime soon and the #6 might be gone so maybe he's better off leaving.
