Kurt's Meltdown

Finch aint kiddin about dukin it out. Ask any of the thousands of construction workers and bar patrons down here in the Fl. Panhandle where he is from. Everybody around here knows him and considers him a friend. By the way this Bloody Mary Brunch at the Florabama is out of this freakin world.

Reading this now. Kurt did the same **** at Dover a few years ago and it went unpunished. NASCAR needs to do something with Kurt because letting him get away, time and time again, with almost running over people on pit road sends a message that pit road safety doesn't matter. Remember, at Dover, Smoke's crew members had to jump out of Kurt's way. Kurt and Kyle both have a history of using their racecars as weapons.

Both of the Busch brothers have a history of using racecars as weapons. When Kurt got Spencer'd, it was for an on-track incident he should have been parked for. If Harvick had gone on the radio and said he would wreck someone under caution, and then done it, he would've been parked in the blink of an eye. Kurt got away with that one. The following week, Kurt won the race by virtue of intentionally wrecking the second place car and then intentionally wrecking Sterling Marlin (and that would've been Sterling's last win). Kurt got away with that one. When Kurt almost killed Tony Stewart's crew members, he got away with that one. Harvick has been placed on probation for much less. Then there's last night and, I have no reason to doubt what is reported because of Kurt's history.

While Krylie was parked last year, it was too little too late. At Richmond, Steven Wallace had a run on Kyle. Kyle blocked him forcing Wallace to move him. The very next turn, Kyle divebombed the corner in an attempt to crash Wallace (even said he was trying to wreck him). Then, after he failed, he started a fight on pit road, then whined when Wallace didn't take his crybaby crap. Kyle has repeatedly intentionally wrecked drivers on pit road and on the track in the Truck Series races. Then, there was Darlington where Kyle intentionally wrecked Harvick, under caution. Then Kyle wrecked Harvick's parked car on pit road, which almost hurt members of the 29 team and NASCAR officials. He got away with that one... in fact, when Harvick was racing side-by-side with Busch a few weeks later, Harvick was told to back off. Then, after a Truck race, Joey Coulter squeezed Kyle and held on to a top-five finish. Kyle rammed in to him after the race, prompting the infamous "Hold My Watch". Then there was the Truck race where he intentionally wrecked Hornaday under caution.

I'm sure there are incidents I've already forgotten about. Hell, Kyle got pissed at a late model race where Johanna Long was beating him and his million dollar super late model car, so he dumped her the first chance he got.

The Busch brothers are great drivers and only a fool would deny that. But when things don't go their way on the track, they have a horrible tendency to use their cars to retaliate. I hope parking Kyle did him a lot of good -- it did wonders for Harvick. But now, it's time for NASCAR to stop giving Kurt a free pass for his antics. If they don't, maybe someone needs to put Spencer in a car. :D

Well said, Andy. It's sure hard to figure how nascar views and judges these things. Perhaps it's ratings based, but I sure don't have a clue.

Andy's post is long but full of opinions being passed off as fact. It is also written from a very biased perspective. I don't think Andy is capable of being objective so I give his post an "F". But I can see why people who dislike the Busch boys would like the post.

Has anyone seen the video of his burnout in the 39's pit coming close to hitting crewmembers? If that is true he should get the biggest penalty in the history of na$car.

I haven't seen it. Kurt said he was well clear, but who knows. The official was right there, so nascar will say something if it was how the 39 said it was. I do know that it's common courtesy to give a pitting car the room to easily get out before cleaning up.

lol I don't blame you for wondering. Take this number and wander over to my profile page. You should be able to figure it out from there. 8,094,123 B2

Kurt isn't like Jeff Gordon in any way. Talent or attitude.

I thought Magic Miler was quite clear in agreeing with you. He said Kurt could learn a lesson from Jeff in his (Jeff's ) ability to conduct himself under adverse conditions.

Now that we're all in agreement, lets move on the next important issue.

Does anyone have anything important to say?

I would say that the least of Kurt's problems is Nascar fines or penalties . I would like to see him stay in Nascar , but right now I don't see a future for him.

As to Matt's point about why it happened, whether he was somehow justified , I don't think that it matters. The anger management issues have proven to be a problem.

If I were some CEO of a multimillion dollar company looking to spend some sponsorship money in Nascar, and was watching that race , I may think to myself this guy just might be worth oh say 15 million a year given his history but seems to have gone the right direction.
Then I awake this morning and see what has transpired and now think to myself forget about it I don't want a guy like this representing my company.
James Finch loses, Nascar loses, and even Kurt loses.
Whats next, fails a random drug test and is blackballed by Nascar.
I have always felt Mayfield had his problems with Pissing off big name owners and Nascar.

It's so sad to see, but at this point Newmans assessment may be right on the mark. I was thinking "Man, if he hadn't gotten spun at Talladega, maybe he would have handled this better". Then I realized that if he can't handle things better, it wont matter how much he wins. At this point, it's beyond Kurt winning, it's Kurt bettering himself.

I thought Truthful one was banned?
Just kidding....

lol That guy was a rip.

racer8, I think Kurts sponsor options are down to a pharmaceutical company that invents a miracle pill to fix Kurt. Every time he blows a tire and then la-de-da's his interview, their stock would jump.

;)

That great big fat guy who went after Kurt is probably lucky he didn't get to him. If he'd hit him (likely resulting in a serious injury to Kurt) he would been banned from NASCAR for life and faced jail time.

I agree with the rest of your post , but I'm not sure that I understand the Mayfield comparison. Kurt hasn't ever been assiciated with drugs to my knowledge . And I don't know that Mayfield's issues had anything to do with pissing Nascar off . (they do now ).Mayfield is a druggie and a criminal , Kurt has anger management issues. I love the Finch loses,Nascar loses ,and Kurt loses ,statement . Very true.
