I hope you have serious regrets about this post now.
Being just a year older than Ty I can not imagine what he must be going through right now.
What a terrible situation, tonight's race has sort of become secondary with these awful news.
Thoughts and prayers are with Ty Gibbs, Joe Gibbs and the rest of the family.
Congrats to Jimmy…husband of my classmate Patti Jarrett (yes Dale Jarrett is his brother in law).

No, it was a joke, jokes add levity to situations, I lost my father at a young age and humor helped me thru it. You need to relax a little bit with your attitude.

I left Joe out of my reply too for the same reason, first thought was Ty, can't even begin to imagine what Joe is going thru.
So very sad and heartbroken for the Gibbs family, and for Ty to lose his Dad far too soon. Prayers for the entire family.

Yeah, I admit that came to my mind after a few minutes. It's easier to think of these business issues this soon when you're not involved. I sure Joe thought that was settled. It's going to be tough to tackle.

The Well is one song I never get tired of hearing. 
I mean, of the four Gibbs drivers, it's easier for me to root for Bell than the other three, so I'm glad it's him in the final 4.
JD Gibbs was 49 as well, they knew he had been sick though, don't remember hearing anything about Coy being sick. Just awful to lose both sons at a young age of 49.
I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around this. From the highest of highs last night, to the lowest of lows today.
I also use humor to get through tough situations. Don't worry about pissing off the holier than thou crowd, they're going to be pissed no matter what you do.
Probably one of the happiest days of your life. Way too young but if you gotta go, in your sleep with your heart filled with joy is a pretty good way.
Agreed, doesn't make the situation any less awful and not that any of us want to go and not trying to be super morbid but going to sleep and not waking sounds like the least painful and scary way to go.
