NCAA football 2014

It'll be hard not to call the PAC-12 the best conference if they finish 8-1 in bowls, which looks to have a good shot of happening right now.

The Big 12 might be the big losers after all of this. 1-6 is looking pretty likely.

Look at what Ohio State has done after losing 2 Heisman quarterbacks. They are strong. It's true, they may not win but I am so proud of them.

And congrats Fergy on a fine year for his team!!!!
I'm pumped that Ohio State is in the National Championship game, but also a little nervous. Losing a third national championship game in nine seasons wouldn't look so good. I'm afraid if Ohio State gets blown out by Oregon, all the good feelings the Big Ten has had the last few days will go away.

"I'm never watching college football again because they got rid of the BCS and instituted a playoff system" said no football fan ever.

As if this week hasn't been bad enough for the SEC, it looks like someone had an "accident" during the Florida-East Carolina game yesterday...

too many birmingham grits for breakfast ! :D

I can't believe it, some folks are calling it Ohio State's year. I just can't believe it, no one has ever given the Bucks credit.

I'm reserving my comments until after Monday night. I have a feeling the media will be right back on our case if OSU lays an egg against Oregon in the championship game.

The spread is Oregon by six but I think it'll be Ohio by 7. I hope so anyway.

Oregon is pretty damn good. They could easily win by double digits if OS doesn't bring their A game.
Could go vice versa though. Oregon was something like a 21-point favorite when they lost at home to Arizona and Ohio State arguably played better against their only common opponent (Michigan State).

Also, four of the last five teams to be favored by as much as the Ducks are in the NCG ended up losing.

Oregon has put up 40+ in each of their last 9 games. Ohio State has
It looks like it. I'll take the over. :D

gone over 40 in their last 4 games. Could look like an Arena League game on Monday Night.

not sure what happened above ! :flushed:

over 75 will be game i wanna watch .
all my sec teams ****e their britches..... like fla. rb ! :D

Oregons star WR suspended for the Championship game for failed drug test. Oregon is now out there top WR and Cornerback. Is the NCAA trying to hand this to OSU? Complete BS. 2010 when the NCAA suspended 5 Buckeyes, they let them play in the Sugar Bowl and serve their suspensions at the start of the following season. Why didn't the same apply to Carrington?

Failed DRUG test. Zero tolerance. Play by the rules or don't play.

At least the Buckeye haters now have a built-in excuse to discredit them if they win.

When that went down in 2010, accepting money as a player was as big of a deal to the NCAA, if not bigger, than pot.

Those 5 didn't play by the rules, but were still allowed to play in the Sugar Bowl.

You're obviously biased but I'm from Florida and don't have a dog in this fight and think that the NCAA committee did the right thing. If Oregon can't win against a third string QB without their #2 WR then they don't deserve the Championship In My Opinion.

Actually, if I was biased, I'd be in favor of this suspension.

Okay. It was an assumption on my part. But the thing is this is five years later and they have been warned over and over about zero tolerance. Break the rules and suffer the consequences.

i predict Oregon, but with my choices, the opposite usually wins. but really i like Oregon by double digits.

and btw, no matter what happens in this game, win or lose, I am so damn proud of my team. How many teams do you know who could come back from losing not 1 Heisman trophy quarterback but 2 Heisman trophy quarterbacks and still.........I repeat and STILL make it to the National Championship game?

I am thinking...not many. They are all winners in my book.
