NEW 2022 gas prices

Oil 57.13 barrel @ 9:42 EST. Local Exxon still 3:14 gallon for gas. Bet high 2.70's 4 miles a way.

Edit: Nope, 2.80 appears to be lowest. Most mid 2.80 to 3 bucks.

Not sure why I'm waiting for price to drop. Rarely use more than a tank a month. Have 220ish miles on current tank and low fuel light just came on. think about 3 gallons left?

Knightdale BP on adjoining lot of Waffle House, $3.05. Less than 3 miles further on same road toward Raleigh (New Bern Ave) $2.76. Still 3.14 half mile away from home at Exxon.

Up here in panhandle, it has went back up a little. Was getting diesel at 3.05, now back to 3.30. Regular at 2.80 a gallon. I'm keeping my eyes on the straight of Hormuz, lots of oil comes down thru there, especially with what's going on over there now.

Gotta keep those insurance company executives fed.

Congressmen routinely point out that they don't want to affect the medical system because it's 12% of the economy. Maybe they should be asking WHY is it that high?

Notice how those congressmen opposed to socialized medicine don't hesitate to run over to Walter Reed military hospital when they something? Notice how those conservatives opposed to socialized medicine scream if you touch their Medicare?

Cumulative cuts to medicare of over a trillion dollars to medicare are in the big beautiful bill. Many are waking up and realizing that it isn't just killing the affordable care act, their private employers insurance plan is shooting up also.

European countries don't have a domestic petroleum industry contributing to congressional campaigns so their industry subsidies will continue. European countries also don't have policies that actually encourage manufacturers to build less efficient large vehicles with low fuel mileage. Indeed, European countries apply heavy taxes to their gas sales in order to encourage fuel economy.
