NFL 2013

I almost wish Cleveland would tank hard enough to get Clowney. I think he's going to be very good. I'll never forget that hit he put on Vincent Smith.
He is definitely a beast. But, I don't see him being as effective in a 3-4 like the Browns play than in a 4-3. And they really beefed up the front seven this off-season. I really think Weedon will be a lot better in a real offense this year. The crap Childress and Shurmer drew up on a weekly basis last year would have been tough for any QB to succeed in. But, if the offense isn't much better this year, they will have to address that next year. And I still think they will probably need another cornerback to compliment Haden. I hope McFadden is that guy, but I don't have a lot of faith in him.

I love the fact that Tebow still hasn't landed a job. I know that's mean, but I can't stand that guy.

Even funnier is that JaMarcus Russell is getting a chance with the Bears, but Tebow hasn't gotten even a nibble from anybody. I still can't believe Denver used a first-round pick on that guy.

The guy just can't throw the ball. Yes he can scramble but when it comes to passing he's awful.

Tebow got WAAAAAAYYYYY too much credit for Denver's playoff run in 2011. The Broncos had a great defense and running game that year, which is how they got as far as they did. I will admit he was impressive in the playoff win against Pittsburgh (which I thought was hilarious because I can't stand the Steelers), but other than that, the team won in spite of him rather than because of him.

They won that game with a simple little 10(maybe) yard pass that any QB could make. Suddenly after that everyone(the media) was acting as if he was the best QB ever. I guess it had nothing to do with the guy who caught the pass and ran the extra 30-40 yards for the score.

He was the best QB ever for six days, then New England cleaned his clock the next week.

A frog doing a perfect Tebow impression.

Now the Miami Marlins owner should be convicted of some kind of fraud. He conned the local politicians into building him a huge brand-new stadium with the promise to spend money on the team. He got his stadium and in less than one season, he traded just about every good player they had to save payroll money. Perhaps they should have gotten it in writing that he would spend a certain percentage of the influx of cash he made from the stadium on the product on the field.

Yes he should. I think MLB will end up pulling the franchise or force him to sell the team. Either way he needs to be held to the fire and do what he promised. It's a beautiful ball park, I've been there. (All my teams are in Miami, except my hockey team) They had no support before the stadium was built so it's not a shock to see it empty. Not to mention the team is awful.

QB JaMarcus Russell has lost 51 pounds in an attempt to return to the NFL.

Glad he's finally working for it, problem is he should've done it when he had his chance. I don't see a team taking a risk on him unless it's for no upfront money and a year or two contract.

On another NFL subject, how about Aaron Hernandez? The evidence is adding up and not in his favor. He's been in trouble since his college days and now it appears he's really screwed himself, and his millions of fantasy owners like myself. Seriously though if he was involved (which it looks like he was) he needs to pay.

He's apparantly been banned from the stadium by the Pats owner. I expect him to be released very soon if he isn't cleared.

My guess is they will put him on the non-injured reserve list until the court hearings play out. If they release him now, they will more than likely be accountable for his contract. If they wait until he is convicted then I think they can void his contract.

I like how the Falcons seem to be shaping up for the season, can't wait to see what they can do with the changes they've made.

You're an evil person for reminding me about that game. :(

I trace the yankee side of my roots back to Pittsburgh so we're Steelers fans on the AFC side and Panthers on the NFC side. I'm pinning my hopes on the Panthers to finally put something together and make a good play off run this year. The Steelers are getting some age on them so I don't expect us to be that great this year.

Can't wait for the pre-season to start >)

He's been taken into custody.

Many people are giving the Patriots a lot of credit for releasing him. I give them some credit, as it is much better than keeping him on the team. But, what else were they supposed to do. Listen to "Patriot's player Aaron Hernandez" mentioned in any reports about the upcoming trial? Of course not.

They could do like Jerry Jones/Josh Brent?Keep him on the team while continually screwing up and saying everything will be ok.

Hall Of Fame game next weekend. Dolphins vs Cowboys. Super excited. My family gets to go out on the field for pre game ceremonies. My son is stoked. Lol. Bills Hall of Fame guard Joe DeLamielleure is going to be at our tailgate party. Last week he just completed a walk to Canton from Buffalo for charity.

Just got back from the parade...
