NFL 2013

Romo underwent back surgery and is officially done for the season. Now watch the Cowboys make it to the SB. LOL
That is at least mildly surprising that he would undergo back surgery so quickly. I've have several of those epidural injections he recently received and they say they either provide pretty much immediate relief or they don't do much of anything at all. I was actually in a little more pain in the days immediately after most of mine. It sounds like that this was his experience as well. Unfortunately, surgery wasn't really a viable option for me as mine would have required going through my chest to correct the main issues. The risk simply outweighed the reward. I really hope this helps him and doesn't become a lingering issue for his as it did for guys like Joe Montana.

Listening to ESPN Radio this morning, and I kid you not, one of the two guys filling in for Mike and Mike said "I hope the Cowboys get blown out on Sunday Night so it proves the worth of Tony Romo." Who's to say they wouldn't get blown out with him?

I could understand the praise if he were Tom Brady. He ain't no Brady or Manning or Rodgers or Brees. He might be Jay Cutler.

ESPN will try tirelessly to convince you that Romo does belong amongst those four guys you mentioned. First off, all of them have Super Bowl rings. Romo has never gotten beyond the divisional round of the playoffs. I would put him more in the Rivers/Ryan/Cutler category than the P. Manning/Brady/Brees/Rodgers category.

Might as well post this while there is still some hope:

Looks like 3 of the 4 chips are gonna fall Pittsburgh's way (win over Cleveland, Ravens and Dolphins look like they're going to lose). Knowing those lucky bastards, the Chiefs will somehow find a way to beat the Chargers while resting their starters and the Steelers will make the playoffs.

I know conventional wisdom says Houston picks Teddy Bridgewater but could you imagine JJ Watt and Jadeveon Clowney on the same defensive front?

I'd love to see a scenario play out where Clowney's on the board when Jacksonville goes on the clock and then they get AJ McCarron in the second round.

If they end up with a coach like Lovie, that could prove to be a formidable lineup, indeed. Burp.

I was happy to see Schaub throw one last clutch interception today for old times sake. Pretty fitting that what was likely the last pass he threw as a Texan ended up being a pick.

Okay, Peyton got Drew Brees record. No reason for him to play in the second half. Unless he wants to go for 8 TD passes. He always has 4 in the first half.
