NFL 2014

Thanks to the Raiders win over the Bills, the damage from Jacksonville's win has been undone and they have the number three overall pick. Hopefully they don't get any bright ideas next week and try to win.

Cowboy fans coming out now.

Been a Cowboy fan since 1970. Back when Craig Morton was the QB, and Staubach was the rookie. Duane Thomas, Walt Garrison, Calvin Hill was the running backs. Bob Hayes was the split end. Bob Lily, Jethro Pugh, Mel Renfro, LeRoy Jordan was a few of the defensive names. Ed too tall Jones was still playing college ball for Tennessee

I haven't said much recently because there was little to celebrate. Landry also had more class than anyone following has ever had, especially Jones. But still the same they will always be my team.
Jones be damned, there was just to many sweet enjoyable moments as a kid for me ever to change.

I have listened to people snark Romo with gutso and have always thought it was unfair. He is no Staubach or Aikman, but I don't think he is doomed or cursed to Denny White's fate either.
The QB gets to much credit and to much of the blame.

It isn't rocket science, the Cowboys have lost as a team, and are winning as a team now. Romo has a healthy DeMarco Murray for this December, plus a better front line and that is the difference the year along with a better defense. Defenses are having to respect their run, and that is a must, for quarterbacks hoping to routinely win the big games.

Romo obviously isn't a Brady or Peyton, I wouldn't be so foolish to think that. But as good as Brady is and I do think he is this generations best, he can not win a Super Bowl on his own. As simplistic as it may be the ones they won were with their best teams, and the ones most dependant on him to do it all, lost. Captain obvious stuff I am sure.

I don't think Dallas is good enough to get through Seattle or Phoenix but if they win it all, I will enjoy.

And I hope it is a bitter reality for folks that have made a party out of ridiculing Romo. I will also do all I can to inflame that bitterness if it ever happens.

As for today it was great. I remember the iggle low life's cheering when Michael Irvin had his career ending injury.
Hopefully the misery is profound in their ringless sewer tonight, as it has been been since BC.

Dang Greg that's the most I have ever seen you say and not 1 mention of a woman.I really thought you would have at least 1 cheerleader reference.

Thanks for the mamories.
I will think about a few of them for a few moments.

Romo does deserve most all the hate he's gotten. When you constantly throw interception after interception and give games away, you gotta take the blame.

Cincinnati @ Pittsburgh on SNF? The Bengals are a dreadful national TV team. I'll be surprised if the Steelers don't win by double digits.

The Bengals don't do so well against big boy teams. I'd look for them to get flattened by both Denver tomorrow night and Pittsburgh next Sunday.

They're much like Indy in that regard. Right now they're 0-3 against teams locked into the playoffs and even if they win tonight beating the Steelers on the road in primetime will be awfully tough.
