NFL 2014

With the Patriots losing to the Bills, this will be the first season since 2002 where no teams finished with 13+ regular season wins.

Falcons and Panthers playing for a division title on CBS, but we in the Nashville market get Oakland-Denver, because Peyton Manning played for UT like a hundred years ago.

It's funny, the Dallas/Washington game was in more markets than any of the games that decide who goes to the playoffs. NFL Cowboys bias showed up today.

Cowboys could still lose their first-round bye if the Cardinals win and the Seahawks lose today. That would give AZ and the DET-GB winner the first round byes.

Could happen. Seahawks are losing right now, and the Cards are only down by 3.

Lions might be the dirtiest team in the NFL.

Eh, a few of their members play dirty from time to time, and it hurts them because even when they don't mean to do something, people lash out on them saying that they for sure did it on purpose.

I just watched the Jags/Texans game on FOX. Now I'm watching the NFC South Championship Game on CBS. This is so weird.

Yep, NFL trying to spread the wealth. They were stupid about it though. Both networks got a division clinching game, but they aired them both at the same time. Freaking stupid. Should have moved Atlanta vs Carolina to early game.

This has not been a regular season of exceptional games from a fan standpoint. I hope the playoffs provide a more desirable viewing experience.

And neither game was a national game on either network. CBS aired the Denver/Oakland game nationally and Fox aired the Cowboys/Redskins games in twice as many markets as the Lions/Packers game.

Brian France fukt up when he assumed the stick n ball playoff format. He didn't realize that people don't really GAF once their team/driver has been eliminated.

It's true. If Minnesota or Detroit doesn't make it to the playoffs, I typically quit watching.

They should become Titan, Jag or Raider fans. No hope of ever making the Playoff's so you can't be disappointed.

The last time the Bucs had the #1 overall pick (1987), they took Vinny Testaverde. That worked out well. :sarcasm:
Honestly, I hope it works out just as poorly for them. Lots of reports after the game said they tanked on purpose. The Bucs took out some key players like Mike Evans, Vincent Jackson, Lavonte David, and half the freaking OL.

"It had nothing to do with substitutions," Smith said. "You look at how we played. To me, I'm going to go back, we're moving the ball fairly well even in the second half. They played a lot better. We played a lot of guys the first half also. Vincent Jackson only played a few reps. That happened in the first half also, and the team we put on the football field had a chance to win right up until (the end).

"Yeah, we didn't have some of our best players there right in the end. But the guys we had in there we felt like we could move the ball and be able to win."

The Bucs played the fourth quarter with three young offensive lineman that aren't starters, lots of changes on defense and without their starting wide receivers. Quarterback Josh McCown said the Bucs were playing to win.

Oh, and their first fourteen plays in the second half were all rushing plays.

It's kinda crazy that Harbaugh and the 49ers couldn't make things work when you look at his record there: 44-19-1 regular season record, three NFC Championship Game appearances and one Super Bowl appearance in four seasons. I doubt the Niners will do better than that with the next guy who comes in.
