NFL 2015

Who is Sam Bradford?

McCown isn't spectacular by any stretch of the imagination, but he is a fairly reliable player, at the least. With the uncertainty around the Manziel situation someone that is "just reliable" is a good upgrade for them to make.

No. Just no. There is zero justification in this signing. We've already tried this 3 effing times. Now we are on effing version 4.0. Dilfer, Delhomme, Garcia, now McCown.

Maybe they'll have luck with Shaw. Some of his teammates have said good things about him.

They need to get rid of Johnny Foozeball and put Connor Shaw in as starter.

Hiring McCown isn't a terrible move given all the unpredictability over Manziel.
I'll take Hoyer over McCown all day long. Hell, Sanchez is still out there. I'm sure teams aren't exactly knocking his door down. I'll take him over a guy that led his team to the worst record in the NFL last year. It's moves like this that continue to make the Browns the laughing stock of the league. There is nothing good about this signing.

As long as the Eagles don't do something stupid this offseason like last season when they cut Jackson. This year it probably be trading to draft Mariotta....which we don't need Foles is fine.

It sounds like the NFL is going to have designated "Gold weeks" this year on which multiple Super Bowl rematches will be played. Nineteen different matchups this year are Super Bowl rematches:

  • Patriots-Eagles (XXXIX)
  • Patriots-Giants (XLII & XLVI)
  • Bills-Cowboys (XXVII & XXVIII)
  • Bills-Redskins(XXVI)
  • Bills-Giants (XXV)
  • Dolphins-Redskins (VII & XVII)
  • Dolphins-Cowboys (VI)
  • Jets-Colts (III)
  • Ravens-49ers (XLVII)
  • Steelers-Rams (XIV)
  • Steelers-Seahawks (XL)
  • Steelers-Cardinals (XLIII)
  • Bengals-49ers (XVI & XXIII)
  • Colts-Saints (XLIV)
  • Broncos-Packers (XXXII)
  • Raiders-Packers (II)
  • Chiefs-Packers (I)
  • Raiders-Vikings (XI)
  • Chiefs-Vikings (IV)
I saw that Eagles-Patriots is likely the opening Thursday night matchup.

The Eagles are going to trade LeSean McCoy for Kiko Alonso. As good as it is to see Shady out of the NFC East, Kiko could be a great LB for many years to come.

Sounds like a terrible decision by Philly.
Shady is kinda getting up there in number of years in the league, and RBs don't have a very long shelf life. I think, unfortunately, they may have won. But I guess it depends on how healthy Alonso's knee really is.

If anyone made out here, its the Eagles. Alonso will be a stud if he can stay healthy. McCoy isn't getting younger, and he's really not needed in Chip Kelly's offensive scheme. Plus they free up almost $12 million in cap space.

McCoy's agent is denying anything being finalized yet. Of course nothing can be official until next week anyways.

Alonso is a nice pickup in the long-run.

I think CJ Spiller said he would not return to Buffalo, I guess this is the reason behind the signing. Also, I did not know Fred Jackson was 34 going on 35 this year... I thought Jackson was much younger, I see why pulled the trigger on this one.

But but they forget Detroit, Cleveland, Houston, and Jacksonville.

My Titans are out too. Their one Super Bowl appearance was against the Rams, and we don't play them again until 2017. Might be the LA Rams by then.

Hope y'all get to keep them in Tennessee

If Alonso's knee is good, then this is an awesome deal for Philly.

Per @mortreport: Barring breakdown in formal contract negotiations, Ndamukong Suh will sign with Dolphins. Deal around $114M, $60M gtd.

Ex-Titan and Jets RB Chris Johnson was shot in a drive by last night. Johnson, expected to make a full recovery, is in stable condition, but the driver in the vehicle was killed.
