NFL 2021-22

It's like those irritating turds who announce their departure with much fanfare, only to float back to the top later on..
That's something I never understood...

He didn't even announce it.

Wtf

It's like those guys who don't announce that they're leaving, but other people do instead, and they say "I have nothing to announce at this time" and refuse to go along.

He’s gotta get fired if this turns out to be bogus right?

No way. Rapoport is well connected and Schefter is perceived as well connected. Guys like them don't get fired unless it's for something not related to their job performance.

Schefter is usually one of the first to break news that everyone else also reports a few minutes later, but he doesn't have access to any exclusive insider info whatsoever. Whenever he does try and make such a claim, he ends up looking like a fool. He was adamant that the Patriots wouldn't trade Garoppolo under any circumstances (until they did) and also reported the 49ers would draft Mac Jones (they picked Trey Lance instead). Then when his claims are proven bogus, he just says "my sources confirmed that was the thinking at the time"

My local sports talk radio station has a brief segment with Schefter once a week, and he says a whole lot of nothing. They always ask his opinions on stuff, what he's hearing, what he sees happening in the future, and he just talks about what COULD happen but rarely makes an actual prediction. Trying to get any real secret out of him is a fool's errand.

I know he's just doing his job and a guy in his position doesn't want to piss off his sources, but I don't understand why people think he's a big deal.

Jacksonville, who had a two week head start on everyone else, is restarting their head coach search.

Dumpster fire. Trevor Lawrence’s agent needs to demand a trade first thing Monday morning.

If the Rams win, the Jaguars can't even interview Kevin O'Connell until after the Super Bowl. Which means that they will be limiting themselves solely to O'Connell or Bevell ... unless Trent Baalke plans on trying to force Josh McCown.

I hate rooting for this ****show so much.

Bengals showing some good fight, refs missed an easy pi call on Higgins pulled his arm down, should have been 1st & goal at the 1. Looking like Game On regardless

That was big for the Chiefs to keep the Bengals out of the end zone there, as it seemed like Cincinnati is gaining momentum. Feels like the Chiefs should have gotten an additional score whlle they had it.

Hard to believe not a single Chiefs receiver got free during the approximately five minutes Mahomes had to throw on that third down play.

Then the Chiefs get it back with a pick, another big energy swing. They better do something with this one.
