On Going - Songs You Like

I agree Red was the overall better album by Taylor. 1989 may have had more of the radio hits for her though.
Yep. I feel like 1989 was just the song 22 over and over again - still more tolerable than the bulk majority of pop music, but not as good as stuff like this from Red:

I have no idea which thread I should post my crap in anymore, but I've been listening to Epica all weekend. Simone Simons is gorgeous, and she can friggin' sing, man.

Ariana has done a few crazy things like licking doughnuts in the bakery shop but there is no denying she has some pipes. I love this one with The Weeknd.

There's my adorable little donut licking tyrant.

Speaking of adorable, I love this girl's voice. This album is still my current album of the year, of any genre. Chilled out modern alternative with a hint of melancholy. I posted the first video before but it got lost when the forum went down.

So, this Nonpoint song off of their yet to be released newest album got recommended to me on Amazon. It's probably the best song of theirs that I've ever heard.

As I'm listening to that one on YouTube, I notice this one in the sidebar. Apparently this album drops tomorrow. I had no earthly idea. I thought these guys were done.

So, new Thrice and Lacuna Coil tomorrow, and I have a half-day at work. It's gonna be a good day. :D

OK, I took MrG's lead and went wandering around YouTube looking for music and encountered this bizarrely intriguing band. Everything is done with their voices.

:lol2:

I've seen their name around a few times and thought they were just a regular metal band.

:XXROFL:

Not sure how I got from the first band here to the second band, but I've been listening to both of these albums tonight and I really like what I've heard. The second video has an f-bomb somewhere towards the end.

I've been in a 90's country mood lately, as well as a pretty heavy mood from one moment to the next. It's kind of a strange place, but it's interesting, as usual.

That's where I live. My current CD line up in my truck is Black Sabbath, Steve Erle, Uriah Heep, best of Merle Haggard and Best Johnny Cash.

Not sure if I've posted this before, but I listen to LEAH off and on, and I've been listening to her today. I like her voice, and she's beautiful.

The only thing I don't like about this song is how she stretches out the word "you," particularly in the first verse, but I love it otherwise. I haven't been able to get into her newest album yet, but the album this song is from (Of Earth & Angels) is pretty solid.

Speaking of '80s (sounding) bands that are criminally underrated...I give you The Birthday Massacre. I randomly discovered them a few years ago. Best random find ever, I swear. I haven't listened to them for a while, but they're friggin' amazing. I'm pretty sure I have all of their albums, and they're all really good.

I thought I posted several songs from these guys a few weeks ago, but I couldn't find it this morning. Anyway,

I had never heard of Garbage until very recently, but apparently they've been around for over 20 years. I just bought their newest album, and I'm digging it. I'm always happy when I stumble upon some good alternative rock.

The first song here took a little while to grow on me, but I like it now. The second is probably my favorite one from the album so far.
