I thought it would be good to have one thread for points for the season so we could see how points race evolve.

I hate the way they show it honestly. The way Nascar shows it even shows the people who have 0 points making Jimmie Johnson even more then the list then he is lol.

Just looking at the winnings totals makes it abundantly clear why there is so much pressure to qualify for the Daytona 500.

True enough..... And just think how much more exciting it could be if 3/4 of the D500 starting field weren't already known when the haulers were pulling out of Homestead at the conclusion of the previous season. But then again, that's for another thread. I don't want to hijack this one.

Who would have thought Jr would be leading the teams from HMS in 5th place? Gordon is 22nd, KK tied for 30th and ol' 5 time is 38th

Considering that Daytona is a total crap shoot I don't find it surprising at all after 2 races. Let's see where things stand after 10 races.

Sorry, I don't follow your logic there Ted.

Why is it so shocking to you that somebody would find that Junior would be leading the points right now?

Nine Titles and over 130 wins are shared between the 24 and 48. Jr has what? A few wins?

I think that anybody would see the 24 or 48 leading the 88 right now.

He was just saying that it was a prime post for Jr haters to latch on to.

Mark deserved to get hit. You can't cut someone off like that in the closing laps and expect to not get hit. Age and gender have no bearing on it. They are all racers.

I think it's kinda Interesting how the Hendricks cars are sitting in points 4th, 17th, 23rd and 26th from the Best Team in NASCAR? Really?
I have to give JJ and Kasey props though, they moved up 14 and 6 positions respectively.

Harvick and Stewart are sitting right about where they where last year at this point hmmmm.

Maybe so but Jr. will never accomplish what Mark Martin has accomplished. He just doesn't have enough of Dale Sr. in him. The name is as close as it gets. Don't get me wrong; I like Dale Jr. as a driver and as a person but he's as similar as Kyle Petty is to Richard Petty.

Irrelevant rambling.

Mark screwed up yesterday and paid the price.
