The Chase Predictor on nascar.com seems more laughable. I mean with 3 races under your belt, how can you have 3 drivers with >99% probability of making the Chase?

I'm not sure how that Field of Forty Three calculates their point projection, but the distribution of odds seem more reasonable with like 20 some races left.
 
Kasey has to get it together because he's 47 points behind 10th place. The way this is going, he's going to have to get in on a wild card position and hope for some wins.

I thought Mark Martin was'nt running the full season? If so how can he be projected so high?

Haha! Thank you so much for posting that. It drives me crazy during college football season when the sportswriters/talkers speak of the "computer rankings" as if the computers are somehow making decisions on their own.
 
Bobby, where did you find those results? Every site I visited showed Stewart, Kenseth, Harvick and Truex all tied with 214 points with Stewart 3rd because of his two wins, then Kenseth because of his win and Harvick next, maybe because he has led more laps than Truex.

I got it from NASCAR.com "live leader points". Maybe some of it got updated after the dust settled? I will fix it.

Sounded like a little trouble brewing in Paradise this week on Jr.'s radio. Hope those two take a vacation together during this break and get it together.Going to be a long season.
 
I see that the "old man" is above kurt in the standings even though Mark has raced 2 fewer races. kyle is trying to catch his brother in the direction he is going.. :)

Well, who would have thunk that it could come down to fuel mileage? He was quite pissed that they waited so long into the run before mentioning, oh yeah, you may want to start thinking about saving some fuel for the gwc. Not many green flag runs in the history of that track, I'd imagine. That has to be scary as heck to pit under green there or @ Bristol.

I thought it was for the wildcard spots but I don't see how Logano fits in there so I must be mistaken.

Perhaps the wildcard and sliced bread icons look too much alike.
 
It's been changed to show Edwards and Keselowski in the wildcard spots.
