Random NASCAR Stuff to talk about.....

That's kinda what I said.

OK, I see the word 'does' caused some trouble here. I thought you mentioned some extra features that even Sprint customers don't get, and made a crack about nascar eventually doing what you said, except changing Sprint exclusivity.

Timmy Hill, the 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series Rookie of the Year, will return to the Nationwide Series with Rick Ware Racing for the remainder of the 2012 season, starting with the Friday, April 13th event at Texas Motor Speedway. Hill and the RWR team attempted the move to the Sprint Cup Series this year [in the #37]. "Rick Ware Racing has been awesome to me throughout my entire racing career," said Hill. "We as a team took a chance to compete in the Sprint Cup Series and move this team to the next level. We learned a lot from this experience, but it's time to take a step back and regroup on what we learned to apply that for the future. So we are temporarily putting the Cup program on hold. We are not out of racing and you will see myself and Rick Ware Racing at Texas ready to go in the Nationwide Series race."(Hill PR)(4-3-2012)

Andy, remember when I said he should go back to Nationwide? He listened to me:D

Jeff Gordon Tweet from about 7:15 today:

Great job @MISpeedway on ur new surface. Track was awesome and fast today. Top speed was close to 215MPH!

I have the scanner charged and the cooler packed. I will be at MIS in just a few hours. :)

I wish I could go. Too much to do tomorrow. This morning was my only shot but the rain messed it up.

They need tires that wear for heat dissipation but those are so grippy that speeds are insane. It will be interesting to see what approach they take.

I hope the soften them up from what they've been using for all the repaves, but I'm not too hopeful. Goodyear won't risk blowouts.

And NASCAR doesn't want a pack of cars barreling into turn 1 at 220 mph. Soft tires are so fast for the first several laps.

I don't know.Restrictor plates ,grippy tires that fall off , shorter track than a superspeedway .I'd pay to see that. What would it be like ?

These guys should go faster this morning in the cool air. I'll be interested in seeing the speeds posted later this morning.

I've got to say that the suspension on my truck tops out quite a bit different than that of the #2:D

@MattKenseth on new pavement at Michigan. think we saw 215 or 216 on the straightaways, so it’s definitely gonna be fast.”

This eat off the floor stuff seems a bit anal. Tiles? It's a friggin' garage. Clean any spills off the BARE concrete and go home.

A team could probably save millions by using garages that look the part.

Ohh, you two

Those race shops have become show cases in addition to a place where teams simply build and work on cars. Brad sure seems proud of it.
