Random NASCAR Stuff to talk about.....

I might be able to clear this up for you.

FB may be referring his inury last year which at first was reported to be both a broken tibia and fibula - not sure though.

SF simply isn't a fan and doesn't care to see him Nascar - seems simple enough.

MH thinks that he'll probaby just treat Nascar as another cool thing to try and then move on - I tend to agree but really don't care what he does one way or the other.

Hope that helps :)

I forget how many pins he ended up with, but he's done a whole lot worse to himself.

Back in 1998, when Travis was 14 (which means he was born in 1983–the year I bought Thriller), he attempted a jump of 120 feet on his motorbike…but came up short. The accident separated his spine from his pelvis, which is pretty well incompatible with, you know, life....according to doctors, Pastrana is one of only three people to have survived this type of injury…that’s right, one of three.

Yeah I didn't think it was that complicated lol

So , he hasn't taken any drugs, hasn't verbally accused his crew , hasn't been arrested , hasn't beaten his wife , hasn't driven an Indy car , doesn't have a famous father , what's he want with Nascar?

I don't think SF was saying he doesn't want to see him in nascar, just that he doesn't care if he does or doesn't.

I having trouble seeing the argument in this, and I'm good at arguing. :D

That's pretty much it. Perhaps my original post regarding him was worded wrong but I have no desire to see him. If he does oh well, if he doesn't oh well....

Heh , I don't even know the guy. I just sensed from the three posts that he might have a bad reputation.

He still may wind up in NASCAR but I believe he'll get his ass handed to him if he does. Either way, it'll be good for the sport fan-wise.

Agreed. Those that worship him may also learn that there is more to NASCAR than going around in circles.

The way I understand it from my 12 yr old grandson , those that 'worship him' are little kids . Guess they have it comin.

Travis is a good, upstanding young man. He loves his Mother and never has a bad thing to say about anyone.
He is a thrill-seeker and he has paid the price with a multitude of serious injuries.
He has proven himself to be competitive in dirt bike racing, extreme sports, rally car driving and self-promotion.
Fans love him. Sponsors love him.
He would be GREAT for NA$$CAR!
He would bring more eyeballs to more TVs and help to put more azzes in more seats.
What's NOT to like?

And in 1998 14 years after you bought Thriller I was 7, feeling even older? lol:D

Anheuser-Busch and its family of wholesalers across the United States annually celebrate the repeal of Prohibition on April 7 - the day the Cullen-Harrison Act took effect in 1933, legalizing the sale of 3.2 percent alcohol by volume beer in the District of Columbia and the 20 states in which state laws did not prohibit its sale.

Thank you! Nice to see an informative post on here.

Final rating for IndyCar opener on ABC: 0.9, down 25% from last year’s 1.2.

No Danica + Tiger + NCAA + boring street course= Ratings that are beyond abysmal.

Ratings that are beyond abysmal.

There was real close to ZERO promotion for the broadcast of that race. I never saw one promo that I can remember. I never saw one newspaper ad. I never got even ONE e-mail from the IZOD Series even though I am on their mailing list. ABC cannot be surprised by the abysmal ratings. They should have been all over that sh!t since buying the broadcast rights.

If it wasn't for the fact that Dave Despain and Robin Miller talked about the upcoming event on Wind Tunnel, I would not have even known the race was taking place.

BTW, it is still parked on my DVR...

I didn't even record it because it conflicted with my golf and NASCAR recordings. If the ratings continue like this I wonder if Michael Andretti will still maintain that Indy Car is better off without Danica.

And I never saw a single promo for the race. But I rarely watch ABC for anything other than Modern Family.

This is the kind of thing that will keep Roger and Penske South highly motivated to win a few cup championships.

Interesting stuff - but they BOTH SUCK at drifting! LOL

If Joonyer really wants to reach the pinnacle of NA$$CAR, all he needs to do is to look across the shop at what JimmieChad has done over the past 6 or 7 years. He needs to FOCUS on CUP Racing! Forget all of the commercials, leave JRM to his sister, let Tony be a mentor to Miss Thang and just DRIVE the 88!
