Random NASCAR Stuff to talk about.....

I bet Kasey Kahne won't be buying the latest Time magazine. Check around and you will get the joke.

Yeah, I was thinkg the same thing when I saw the cover. Damn! But what a lucky kid, eh? <comment stricken from the record:D >

I dunno, can you Imagine the grief he's going to catch someday?

First day of school - "Hey I remember you, your the kid on Time Magazine sucking his mommy's teet"

Or the amount of bragging he'll be able to do some day?
"hey, i posed sucking on a model's boob for time magazine.."

That is really quite disturbing...

And I consider myself to be quite tolerant.
except when it comes to being chastised by a GED-holder!
lol

Since it's his Mother, I would say she should knock it off after he's 2 1/2 years old, which is when kids usually get off the bottle. I think Mom may be the needy one in keeping the child so close and dependant on her to that extent.

Also, how screwed up is that title? "Are you Mom enough", as if doing things differently makes you a lesser Mom.

I'd be willing to bet that the person who gave the final OK to this is a woman.

*off to google mom's breast*
Wait... that sounds kinda - I dunno - weird - then I looked at my own profile pic...

*off to find new profile pic and google editor of Time magazine*
There. That's better...

I was wrong. Time's editor is not a woman afterall. The man is Richard Stengall.
From looking at his photo, however superficial the impression... well, I'll just leave it at that.

Looks like a Claude Van Damm wannabe.

She's a MILF alright, but I have a feeling she can't afford an enlargement, so she keeps breast feeding that kid.

Congrats to SPEED reporter WendyVenturini on her induction into the National Italian-American Sports HOF!

Man, there's a HOF for everything these days.

Yeah, that's a bit much. I wonder if the ring is the #14 car with the tires replaced with meatballs.

Seen elsewhere.....

If I'm Rick Hendrick, I'm totally pranking the merchandise dept. at HMS, and demanding to see 300th-win t-shirt designs by this afternoon.

Despite sponsorship issues, #17-Matt Kenseth's future is secure at Roush Fenway Racing. Team owner Jack Roush said Monday that the 2003 Sprint Cup champion, in the final year of his current contract, will have a ride with RFR as long as he wants one. "Matt Kenseth is a cornerstone of Roush Fenway and he'll be part of it as long as I am, as long as he wants to be,'' Roush said. "He certainly has a place here as long as I'm able to stay at the head of it.'' RFR president Steve Newmark said Kenseth's No. 17 car still has eight to 10 unsponsored races. While sponsorship remains an issue for 2013 as well, Newmark echoed Roush's comments on negotiating a new deal for Kenseth. "It is my hope, expectation and desire that Matt continue with Roush,'' Newmark said. "I expect to see him retire (at Roush). He is an integral part of the organization. When you think of Matt you think of Roush. When you think of Jack you think of Matt Kenseth.'' Newmark said the sponsorship focus at RFR, not only for Kenseth but the entire organization, is on 2013 and getting back to four full-time Cup cars and one full-time Nationwide Series car. The organization shrank to three Cup cars this season when sponsorship couldn't be found for the #6 and David Ragan. The anticipation is Nationwide Series points leader Ricky Stenhouse Jr. will move into the #6 Cup car in 2013 and Trevor Bayne will drive Nationwide full time.(ESPN)(5-15-2012)

Jack can be a bit of an ass, but nobody does more for the sport than him. Hegives more up and coming drivers an honest chance in the NW series, unlike the other cup-lite organizations. He may be cheap with driver contracts, but he funds rides out of his own pocket, which isn't as easy for him as it is for Penske.

Jeremy Mayfield first appearance in court today in Iredell County. Next date here is Sept 17. Alleged stolen goods case covers 3 NC counties.

There's a rumor being reported that Dale Earnhardt Jr. is a 'shoe in' for the All-Star fan ballot this year. I don't know if this is legit or not.

If JR wins the open who gets the fan vote? It goes to whoever has the most votes who didn't make it through the open right?

Yes it goes to next in line. I'm guessing he'll be using the fan vote to race the All-Star race. Also I believe the fan vote has to be on the lead lap and cannot crash out. Someone may want to check that first one but I think I'm right.

Test at Pocono on day of Prelude will end at 4 to allow drivers to get to Prelude.

Also, not at the Pocono test but Danica is running the Prelude. Should be interesting.

Someone wrote an article saying Gordon should call it quits. I guess they forgot he won races last year and is in the top 10 on regular basis when he doesn't have crazy luck.

I'd love to see the authors suggestions for other drivers if they think Jeff should retire
