Haulers getting parked @ Pocono.

I think you secretly love Danica.

But Tony was obviously talking about how crappy a driver Sam was in the Cup Series. He said that Sam was doing well in NW this year.

Nice try, though.:)

He said that a former Cup driver is doing well runing 4th behind a NW rookie and another NW regular, and you think it's a compliment? That's Tony highliting Sam's inability to beat guys with much less experience.

You really don't understand Tony, do you?

Allmendinger in the No. 22 Penske Racing Dodge, Aric Almirola in the No. 43 Richard Petty Motorsports Ford, Kasey Kahne in the No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet, Joey Logano in the No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota and Jamie McMurray in the No. 1 Earnhardt-Ganassi Racing Chevrolet . . . . compared to what was run at Pocono last year, there are both compound and construction changes on both the left- and right-side tires . . . as on all NASCAR ovals greater than one mile in length, teams are required to run inner liners on all four tire positions at Pocono . . . air pressure in those inner liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.

I understand Tony AND your obsession with Danica.:D

Cup cars reportedly reaching speeds near 250 mph at the end of the front straight. NASCAR is halting testing while they can discuss restrictor plate options with teams.
:D

Seen elsewhere.....

At Pocono Raceway testing, AJ Dinger got up to 211 on front stretch, thus making it the "hasty hypotenuse" of the "tricky triangle."

Denny Hamlin said he has lobbied NASCAR Sprint Cup Director John Darby to put cones on the track to force cars higher and widen the groove @ Pocono.

With all of the grip everyone is staying in the low line. This isn't sounding good.

Denny Hamlin also said the speed being carried into Turn 1 at Pocono now is about five or six mph greater than it was before the resurfacing.

Cones would be a good idea. But since qualifying order is based upon times from the first official practice session, they probably won't do it before then - if at all.

Yesterday and today's practice sessions aren't counting against the weekends times/activities. That won't begin until tomorrow. All of the teams aren't even there today. They are running on board computers and telemetry during these sessions. The real deal starts tomorrow.

YEP! That's why I said official practice. Still, it would serve them well to try to work in a second lane.

As for Bristol, I couldn't agree more with your  sentiment!

Wow the old girl cleaned up nicely!
I had planned on going to the Pocono race, but my plans got changed. Since we were racing in Englishtown NJ last weekend and we have a weekend off before our next race in Bristol Tn, I figured that I would drive up to Pocono and have some fun. That was until a bearing in our elevator door on the trailer started making weird noises. There is nothing worse then having a bearing seize up when you have a race care on the door and it is half way up or down. So I figured that it would probably be a better idea for me to cancel my Pocono plans and drive back to the shop in Chicago and put a new bearing in. Well the bearing is in and I leave tomorrow for Bristol, but I think I had tears in my eyes when I drove by the Pocono exits on the way to Chicago.

So sorry. One year I went to TMS and the Sunday date was rained out. I had no choice but to fly back to SoCal on Monday Morning. I remember sitting in the DFW airport bar and watching on TV when the green flag waved. It was so wrong...

I feel your pain, ND!
