Random NASCAR Stuff to talk about.....

That lady that cleans Bill France Jr's house is my sisters BFF's next door neighbor.

Man, it really is a small world. ;)

Do you guys know any girls that aren't cleaning ladies . Do y'all know any models ?

Seen elsewhere.....

It's the Pocono 400 Presented By #NASCAR‬, featuring Pit Road Timing Lines Presented by #OMG‬ and #WTF‬.

The gofer and the orange cone are celebs , why not the timing lines ? Speaking of celebs , did anyone else notice at the end of practice at Pocono , they showed Tony getting out of his car and walking directly over to a bunch of guests behind a rope line in the garage . The guy he went to shake hands with, was the guy from Lizard Lick Towing Company .

I plan on going to MIS for 4 days straight this week. (They have testing on Thursday) I'll probably start a thread in which I'll include a few pics and random thoughts.

Who's random thoughts are you going to use? Have Fun!

Ha ha, slightly used inflatable floor models.

It's just good economics, they can't talk so the "strange" factor is lower and shorter term. Rental or leasing good quality is the way to go. Patches that are needed on high use inflatables is problematic.

Word has it that some Japanese guy has designed one that vacuums, washes dishes etc, and she doesn't eat anything. Our best days are Shirley ahead of us.

And that , my dear Fender , is the wise old voice of experience , giving you the benefit of his wisdom.Live and learn.;)

Both J.D. and Joe Gibbs missed Joey Logano's win at Pocono. J.D. on family vacation; Coach Joe at an Interstate Batteries function.

JGR president J.D. Gibbs said he misses only about three Cup races a season. J.D. said Joey Logano joked today, "Don't come back!"

Eric McClure's return at Michigan won't happen. Continues to be sidelined.

Jeff Green will again sub this weekend at Michigan.

He may have been more serious than joking

Kurt Busch is on the entry list for this weekends race. I know that doesn't mean much and we'll find out more today.

From MIS Twitter:
For those curious about timing loops at MIS, we repaved pit road after June '11. So loops were in place for last August race.

FYI

Dave Moody will be airing an hour long interview with Rick Hendrick on Thursday at 6pm EST as a part of daily show on Sirus radio. He sez that Hendrick shares a lot of old stories.

Logano's future still up in the air despite win: #20-Joey Logano delivered many answers in muscling past #55-Mark Martin to win Sunday's Pocono 400. But there was one significant question that is unanswered as the Sprint Cup Series heads to Michigan International Speedway. Where will Logano be driving next season? "I haven't been informed on where I stand for next year yet, so it's all up in the air," he said. "Obviously winning a race means a lot, and it helps that out a ton. For sure right now my future is not set with anybody. To get this win means a lot. It's at a perfect time."
Though he is enjoying his best year in NASCAR's premier series, it might not be guaranteed that Logano returns to Joe Gibbs Racing for a fifth season. Pocono was the second victory in a career that has fallen far short of lofty expectations that accompanied his 2009 debut as the youngest driver in Daytona 500 history. Since he saw Logano race against his son in go-karts a decade ago, Martin had been predicting greatness for Logano and named him as the best candidate to replace him at Roush Fenway Racing when Logano was 15. It hasn't turned out that way in Cup. Logano finished 20th in points as a rookie and became the youngest winner in Cup history (at 19) at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in a fluky rain-shortened finish. (Logano was leading because he had crashed and was able to stay purposely off-sequence on pit stops).
Though J.D. Gibbs recently downplayed interest in Kurt Busch, there are other winning drivers who could be available in 2013, such as Matt Kenseth, Ryan Newman and Martin Truex Jr. In a phone interview Monday night, Gibbs told USA TODAY Sports that JGR hoped to settle the future of its #20 Toyota "sooner than later, but at the same time, you can't force things. "We're kind of going through it now," Gibbs said. "(The victory) really helps him, us just in general. (Sponsors) Home Depot and Dollar General get a feel for it. So hopefully we'll be able to get something put to bed here pretty quick. He's been so close before, it's just a long time coming. So hopefully that was a great foundation for our future. When you have those sponsors, you have to perform. Not just on the track, but off the track. Joey is great off the track, and now it's neat to see the on-the-track piece pick up, too."(USA Today)(6-13-2012)

Thanks, glad you like it. I was just trying to create a thread to throw in some random NASCAR related info, pics, whatever. I hated creating a new topic for every little item. I'm just a old redneck that enjoys all that is NASCAR. That being said..... I won't be around much for a week or so. We're on the first leg of our family vacation. We are doing some rv'ing on the beach in southern MD. No worries though, I packed the generator, satellite dish & a HD flat screen TV for the Michigan race.
