Random NASCAR Stuff to talk about.....

Hey DP, did it mention about it's involvement in other series? Nascar has done a lot to show it's support for our men and woman in uniform and with sponsorships being hard to come by I wonder if this is the end of Newman at SHR.
Not what I've read so far but there's plenty out there on the net now about this. Too bad though for NASCAR and the teams. They've been a huge part of the sport for many years.

Danica Patrick's 10th race announced to be Kansas in October for those interested.

Sure thought it would have been the Brickyard.

In 2011, Army paid SHR $7.4M for 15 races. $493,333 per race. RT @CrackerJacker93: How much does it cost to sponsor a Sprint Cup Car ?

Ahhhh OK. o_O

I'm not getting why that picture was posted. HELP!

OK, it's just a pic. The 'Ahhh OK' made me think it was a response to someone.

While that is a ton of money to many people, that probably is a very very very small percentage of the Army's budget. So small I really fail to see where it can help out anywhere else. I guess maybe open up more recruiting offices, but isn't that what the Nascar sponsorship is? A traveling recruiting office?

Outside of the NASCAR bubble I can see why people would be outraged at the expenditure. They'd rather the overall budget be reduced or have that money used for something they consider useful. Short sighted level one thought? Perhaps. But I have read that NASCAR sponsorship does virtually nothing as far as attracting recruits that end up being part of the armed forces.

Heading up to ,um, what's that place again.... oh yeah.Loudon.Camper in tow. Ah, three glorious days and night's wifeless.... By Saturday, I should be out of wobble-pops and food, so I'll be glad to see her again. No wifi @ Loudon, so I'll post pics later on Monday. Picking Jeff Gordon to win,KyBu second and Harvick third. In the modifieds, gonna go with Ted Christopher, and the K&N Series, darrell Wallace Jr. Nationwide, now this is a stretch, Timmy Hill. And in the campground 100, Magicmiler in the wall @ lap 36.
Now, who took my fifth wheel setup?

You need to learn how to pack then. Wobble-pops are always packed first and foremost. Calculate exactly what you think you need and then double it. Wobble-pops are never wasted. Although it may be somewhat of an embarrassment to bring some home with you after a guys weekend, they will not go unused in the long run.

Have a great weekend! I've still got 40 days from today until I pull my 5er down to Bristol. Not that I'm counting or anything. :D

Gotta go DP, just wanted to let you know they are prepin the new rv, going to pick it up in Hammond La. tomorrow at 1pm. The 4 hr trip home should be a good shake out run. Leaving the 24th for the brickyard. :D

Fantastic! Great to here. Check them tires before you make that long haul to Indy. These dang trailer tires scare the heck outta me.

Enjoy the new accomodations, Johali.

Seeing that pic of a New Hampshire press conference set reminds me that Bruton should be opening his pie hole this weekend. What kind of garbage do you think he'll spew this weekend? He has no other races coming up before the Bristol weekend some I'm leaning in that direction as the target of his comments. He's got some tickets to sell. He's still running damage control on that track and has certainly dug himself into a hole promising to get the old Bristol back.

He'll think of something. Perhaps assigning a new reporter to Kurt for the Bristol race.
