Random NASCAR Stuff to talk about.....

Jeffrey Earnhardt is more popular with fans than Chase Elliott?

Perhaps the 50+ year old grandmothers with the checkered flag fingernails and a sink full of dirty dishes should be restricted to one vote per calendar day. If that were the case, mebbe the dishes would get done, the joint would get vacuumed and the dogs would get fed on some sort of healthy schedule.

When NASCAR releases things like this it's just the drivers with the most it's not in vote order. In fact looking at it it is alphabetical.

I watch Rogan's interviews periodically and was going to post about Jr. but I see it's been covered above. I could listen to him talk all afternoon. He also did a bit with Graham Bensinger fairly recently on youtube. Covered some of the same ground as with Rogan but also worth listening to.

I wonder if they are sending somebody besides Jimmie over there, I bet so.

And then our guys will get there probably a day or two in advance and start unpacking, unloading and getting the pit stall set-up and everything up and running. And then it’s got to come all the way back, obviously, after that.”

Alan Gustafson, Chase Elliott‘s crew chief in the Monster Energy Series, will lead the Hendrick Motorsports team in Bahrain.

Nothing wrong with it at all. We're not ridiculing the supporters of Earnhardt or Boyd. We're calling bullstuff on the statistical improbability that either one of them have enough fans to put them get them onto a list of top 10 Cup or top 5 Xfinity drivers.

Most popular is simply that, most popular. Has nothing to do with production. A meaningless award created to promote fan participation.

Checkered flags & trophies were created as a measurement of success. Those it's tough to argue about yet we still do.

Most fan votes encourage participants to vote frequently. It draws traffic to the web site but is statically invalid.

He can? Wow, I thought that kind of deal would have been over a long time ago.

Just checked with NASCAR ... no change in Mayfield status. He can go through the Road to Recovery program to get reinstated. #nascar

@bobpockrass, what's the deal with this? Any talks of Jeremy Mayfield in the garage?

I wonder if he and Brian France can go through the Road to Recovery Program together? Like a 'buddy system' or something. That would probably make for a great reality show. They could call it 'Dumb and Dumber'. Oh wait, I guess that's already been used. 'Odd Couple' maybe? Damn that too?

I recalled he hadn't finished the process. Thanks for the confirmation.

That's a win for the day! Almost spilled my iced tea.

End of an Era, FOX will not be using the Hollywood Hotel in 2019

Well I for one...and I may be the only one, would love to see Mayfield race again.

Good riddance. I hope the damn thing winds up in a junk yard with a half-dozen crackheads living in it, decorated with graffiti and knee-deep in trash.

Now if we can just lose the entire notion that a race needs more than three in the booth and three on pit road. No frickin' 'hosts'. Nobody explaining the same half-dozen graphics every week. No 'lifestyle correspondents' or whatever the hell Wood is.

It doesn't make a difference to me one way or another. However, at his age, it would be difficult to get a Cup ride for sure. Everyone wants a young gun these days.

Maybe it was all just a big misunderstanding when people said he was addicted to Meth....
All because he once told a reporter that he was addicted to Speed. :D

Well, I for one believe that NASCAR is correct to have a drug policy and enforce it. If Mayfield wants to race again in NASCAR, he needs to take care of unfinished business. The ball is in his court... and always has been.
