SMI getting in the game
She has a case. When I was in NC back in 2011, I saw a billboard selling Earnhardt Collection homes. I thought Teresa licensed the name out. I googled and turns out it was Kerry. Why didn't he call it the Kerry Earnhardt collection because it probably wasn't going to sell as well as the Earnhardt collection. Dan Marino is huge in south florida. In the early 00's a pizza place opened and was named Marino's in Dolphin's colors. Dan gave them a chance to change their name or be taken to court. They changed their name a few months later. The tattoo artist for Jr Smith sued Nba2k for using his tattoo design without his authorization. If you have money or in school I highly suggest sport law. Great class.
He doesn't have to call it the Kerry Earnhardt Collection, Earnhardt Collection works fine and is ok to do so, but it can't be trademarked.
Kerry Earnhardt can't trademark Earnhardt Collection but can still use the name.
Its that time!, Daytona hauler parking
Even an introductory class in business law can be an entertaining eye-opener.
Ironically I took both while at Temple as an undergrad many moons ago. Business Law was a requirement for my major while i took "Law and Ethics in Sports and Recreation" as an elective.
A few of the discussions I remember from those classes have had "some" relevancy for my side gig covering Patriot League football.
This is stupid. Can't wait to see which school decides to rob their season ticket holders of a home game for this one. Hopefully FSU or C.
You would think the foot ballers would be happy.
And I though the sight lines at Bristol were bad. Just another demonstration that if you market something as an event, people will trip over themselves to throw money at you.
maybe you can get a pair of binoc's when you go there to see the game.
I'D RATHER GO TO A PLATE RACE!!!
Oh, and you know I'm a birder. I already have too many bino's now.
I thought you needed a special foot ball set.
Alex Bowman is being interviewed on my local sports talk radio station 97.1 in Columbus, OH at the moment. Kind of a surprise because they never talk racing on this station. Bowman is a great interview, lots of good stuff to say. I'm glad they picked one of my favorite drivers. Probably has something to do with the Nationwide connection since they are based here
Auto racing can be a cruel mistress.
1994 was a brutal brutal year. Daytona was just the start. The tire war certainly didn't help...
I might be wrong but I believe Kurt Busch is the last full time driver to have raced Dale Sr. in NASCAR (at the cup level). That's a sign of passage of time.
I believe so Kurt made his debut late in 2000 replacing Chad Little.
Wasn't Newman also a 2000 rookie?
Nope he beat Jimmie for ROY in 2002 made his first starts in 2001
Smiff TV's youtube channel no longer having full cup races in satellite form has been a crushing blow.
Reminds me of golfer Bubba Watson winning the Masters and wearing his green jacket to Waffle House at 1:00 am.
I love the response from "The Midnight C.B. Radio Club" when Adam Stern tweeted that disgraced-for-lying newscaster Brian Williams was at the Daytona 500. ROFL.
I'm not sure which is more dangerous. Being 'edgy', or consuming McDonald's 'food' regularly. I kinda like the simple, clean paint scheme.
Can't understand why they don't want Kurt washing down a Big Mac with a Monster drink. Why that's health food right there.
Reminds me of Bill Elliotts in the 90s
I was looking forward to seeing a rolling heart attack-mobile out there.
'Edgy' means McD's is worried about Kurt's ex coming after them.
People just watch to see a snowblower crash.
You can see the air.
