Really Kyle?

I'll be shocked if NASCAR does anything to Kyle except for probation. This is not the first time, nor will it be the last, that Kyle has wrecked someone under caution. Kyle Busch, just like Carl Edwards and Matt Kenseth, has shown his true colors countless times and has never faced a serious penalty for it.

And I say it once more, this is why NASCAR will never get respect. They allow this behavior. They encourage it. Hell, Gossage will probably have a web banner up tomorrow morning with a picture of that wreck, and will have billboard promoting it all year long next year. NASCAR and FOX Sports will be running commercials with that for months.

If Kevin Harvick had done that, we'd be talking about a suspension. But, it wasn't.

Reason why NASCAR should park him. During his interview he was asked if he thought NASCAR would park him. He flat out said "No", not "I hope not", just "No". Their was no remorse in his voice, as a matter of fact he sounded confident, almost like he was not scared of NASCAR or had no respect for NASCAR. They need to send him a message.

That's because Kyle Busch knows NASCAR encourages this behavior. He's done this time and time again, and has never seen more than "four weeks on probation" for his actions.

NASCAR won't suspend Kyle Busch after what they let Carl get away with last year. But Hornaday's quote tonight was great:

"If NASCAR doesn't do it, I'm going to buy Tommy Baldwin's [Cup] ride & that guy will never finish another race. That's a promise." - Ron Hornaday.

Almost as funny as Will Power's rant "wanker"

For three weeks, LOL. Don't forget what they did with Harvick. After the probation expired, NASCAR threatened to park Harvick for racing Kyle too hard.

NASCAR will not suspend Kyle Busch. NASCAR, and especially Eddie Gossage at TMS, promote this behavior. NASCAR will warn Kyle and it will be over... and Gossage will put up a billboard and sell 20,000 more tickets to the most boring track in NASCAR.

You always seem to be the smartest person you know. Kyle WILL get penalized for this dumb-ass move.

not a hater. i've defended kyle on most threads. not this one though. it was so blatant and stupid i don't see how anyone can defend his actions.

This is me too. I have been a big fan, especially for the last couple years and I thought that I had seen a lot of personal growth in Pee Wee. But his actions tonight - against a championship contender, no less - were inexcusable. I don't expect that NASCAR will park him but I wouldn't be the least bit upset if they did. They did park Harvick one Sunday after his actions in a Saturday Truck Race so there is precident. That was well before the "have at it, boys" era, however...

And BTW, Andy, you think that TMS is a boring track? Are you sure that you are watching the right channel??

He's done this time and time again? Are you smoking crack? NOBODY has EVER done what Kyle did today. NEVER! Is your real name Jeremy Mayfield?

I hope Ron does just that. Make NASCAR look even more foolish.

I won't defend what Kyle did to Ron but I also will never excuse what Eddie Haskell did to Kez in that Nationwide race. That may have been worse than what Kyle did. The outcome was certainly worse...

Nobody has ever wrecked a driver under caution? LOL, Kyle wrecked Harvick under yellow at Darlington this year. It happens all the time.

Kyle might get penalized, but he won't be suspended. Fact of the matter is, the race will sell out and TV ratings will jump 35% for no other reason than people will watch to boo Kyle Busch.

Yep, that was much worse.

The ticket sales and TV ratings will tell the picture on Sunday, when Kyle is not suspended by NASCAR. Controversy sells. Fans will buy tickets just to boo at him and hope karma bites him in the ass, just like they did when Darrell Waltrip and Dale Earnhardt were racing.

Whoop his ass Ron.

•NASCAR to meet with Kyle Busch Saturday morning: Tempers flared early in Friday night's truck race at Texas Motor Speedway. As they ran three-wide early in Friday's race, Ron Hornaday moved up the track, causing Kyle Busch, running on the outside, to hit the wall. Hornaday also hit it. As they slowly went around the track, Busch ran up on the rear of Hornaday and caused Hornaday to smack the wall head-on in what was hard contact. Hornaday was uninjured. NASCAR called Busch to the hauler to meet with officials after the race. NASCAR met with Kyle Busch for less than five minutes on Friday night after the race. They will meet with Busch before Saturday morning's Cup practice (which is at 8:45am/et) to discuss the incident. Hornaday went to the NASCAR hauler (he wasn't called there by officials) after Kyle left and said: "If NASCAR doesn't (park Busch), I'm hanging around, and I'm going to buy Tommy Baldwin's ride and that guy will never finish another race. That's a promise. He's got to be parked. They did it to Harvick at Martinsville.'' Hornaday was reminded that the Harvick parking was in 2002, which Hornday said: "So, let's have at it? So I can go over and beat his ass and let's have at it? He lives too close to me. We'll see what NASCAR does. If they don't handle it right, I'll be over at his house Monday morning.''(Virginian-Pilot)(11-5-2011)

I hope his crew chief walked off the job right there. All that work just to be ruined by a drivers temper tantrum. I hope hornaday can find a cup ride for sunday.

you can hear somebody on the team radio as speed listened in going "hey hey hey calm down" as Kyle is trying to drive thru Ron

They parked Robby Gordon from the cup race after his shenanigans in Montreal at the nw race. Of course, that is Robby.... but that is a bit closer timewise than the Harvick incident. Kyle needs to be knocked down a peg or 5!

I was driving home from Houston so I listened to the race. Now that I have seen for myself I am even more pissed. Kyle said in his interview that Ron was racing stupid and going three wide. To me it looks like it was Kyle racing stupid. Ron already had half a truck on Kyle going into.the corner and was making the pass. All Ron was doing was going high to pass the lapped truck. It was Kyle who made it three wide and pinched Ron down which got him loose. It was all 100% Kyle's fault and as Phil Parsons said he needs to be parked for the season.

Just when I thought Kyle was turning the corner, he pulls some bush league (pun intended) move tonight.

I'm neither a Kyle Busch hater nor supporter, but what I saw tonight didn't support his cause for the latter.
Probably lost a lot of respect in the garage, as he should.

I agree what Kyle done was wrong. Should be parked the rest of the truck races but not cup. Tonight had nothing to do with cup. ( I also didn't agree when they parked Kevin).
For all of the people saying Ron should get in a nw or cup car and wreck Kyle every race, where would that be any different than what Kyle done tonight? How is it wrong for Kyle to do it but would be ok for Ron to do it? Why does Ron think it was wrong of Kyle to do it to him but ok if he does it to Kyle? I just don't understand that thinking. To me that just makes him the same kind of ass that Kyle was tonight.

Kyle took Ron out of the points chase in Trucks. So Ron is in the right to be more than slightly PO'd. IMO Ron should get points for where he was running when Kyle took him out.

If NASCAR wont park him for the weekend then they need to ban him from trucks for good.

What Kyle did is the reason most people think NASCAR is a joke. If a NFL player took out an opposing player in-between plays with a cheap shot he'd be out of the league

I agree Ron should be pissed, didn't say he shouldn't be. Just said, if he does buy a ride just so he can wreck Kyle, doesn't that make him the same kind of ass that Kyle was tonight? Why do some consider that it would be ok for Ron to just wreck Kyle but not ok for Kyle to just wreck Ron?
Why should Ron get points for where he was running when wrecked? He's not the 1st driver to get wrecked on purpose. Why should he get special treatment?

I've been saying this for a while. NASCAR's fanbase is over-exaggerated, and the mainstream views it as a joke. NASCAR's inability to enforce the rule book or stand up to acts like this makes them look like an even bigger joke. Even in most short track leagues, Kyle would be sitting at home (probably for several weeks for the crap he's pulled this year).

Hel, with the crap Kyle Busch pulled in his career in all three series, if he ever tried that at any of the short tracks, they'd banned him from the short tracks for life by now. Wrecking someone under caution is a NO NO, and honestly, Kyle Busch should've gotten the black flag, even if he did wreck himself out.

Just got done watching the race and I have to agree with the overwhelming majority of this thread. I have really been trying to give Kyle the benefit of the doubt recently as he really seemed like he was maturing. Boy was I wrong. I don't care if you are a fan of his or not there is no way that his actions can be defended. If you can't see that then you're watching it with blinders on.

IMO this goes way beyond the 'Boyz Have At It'. Since NASCAR proposed that new attitude some time back, they've never let us know where the line is. NASCAR is going to have to take a stand at some point before someone gets seriously hurt. It should have been drawn during the Edwards/Keselowski era which I think were worse than what I just watched, but that's all old news and can be read in those threads.

I think Kyle sealed his fate for some time to come. He's got all of those Cup races to run with that Truck owner, Kevin Harvick, running with him. I think that should he ever get in contention to win a title in Cup things may just come back to haunt him. These guys don't forget. Boyz Have At It or not, right or wrong, I think he'll see repercussions from this. It doesn't make it right but I think it will happen.

No matter what the penalties are, I hope one of them is to make Kyle pay KHI for the truck. Part of this incident is Kyles HATE for K.H. This is the problem with ALL professional sports, they don't make them pay enough $$$$ for their actions........

BTW....Does anyone know if Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards are Jewish ????
Just curious................

I would be willing to bet NASCAR is already making a commercial using the footage from Kyle wrecking Ron last night.

I'm a big Kyle fan but he made a really stupid descision tonight.

I haven't read through the other threads yet but I didn't see anyone in here mention that Kyles and Rons cars could have both been fixed after they got together. This is another reason that this was a really stupid move cause Kyle could have come down pit lane and gotten some repairs and been back out on the track battling for the owners championship but instead he just handed it over to KHI.

He's done this time and time again? Are you smoking crack? NOBODY has EVER done what Kyle did today. NEVER! Is your real name Jeremy Mayfield?

Errr...Kyle did the same thing just last year in the NW series at Bristol. He ran into the front end of the points leader, Keselowski, then wrecked him for his own mistake.

Only if NASCAR doesn't protect Kyle like they did Carl. The races after Gateway and Kez had the championship locked up could have been great if NASCAR hadn't put Kez on 'protect the golden boy' probation.

Yep. I hope nascar simply puts Kyle on probation for the season and no warnings to Ron or Kevin to stay away.

NASCRAP parked him imediately after the incident
