Really Kyle?

Just got done watching the race and I have to agree with the overwhelming majority of this thread. I have really been trying to give Kyle the benefit of the doubt recently as he really seemed like he was maturing. Boy was I wrong. I don't care if you are a fan of his or not there is no way that his actions can be defended. If you can't see that then you're watching it with blinders on.

IMO this goes way beyond the 'Boyz Have At It'. Since NASCAR proposed that new attitude some time back, they've never let us know where the line is. NASCAR is going to have to take a stand at some point before someone gets seriously hurt. It should have been drawn during the Edwards/Keselowski era which I think were worse than what I just watched, but that's all old news and can be read in those threads.

I think Kyle sealed his fate for some time to come. He's got all of those Cup races to run with that Truck owner, Kevin Harvick, running with him. I think that should he ever get in contention to win a title in Cup things may just come back to haunt him. These guys don't forget. Boyz Have At It or not, right or wrong, I think he'll see repercussions from this. It doesn't make it right but I think it will happen.
You have said it just about word to word how I feel about Kyle and this whole incident. I also thought that he was maturing, but after seeing this I have lost my respect for him. I'm still not going to have the lynch mob mentality against him like a lot of fans do because what he does in his race car is between Nascar, other drivers, his crew, and himself. But what is my business is who I choose to respect, and root for. Since I'm not a professional fan it will not hurt him at all if I am not a fan of his because I don't buy any of his merchandise anyway. But when I see the childish acts some of these drivers do that tears up these race cars it makes me glad that I work on Nhra cars and not on Nascars, because I don't know what I might do if a driver deliberatly wrecked a car that I had just spent many long hard hours putting together. My Hats off to the "CREWS" that have to fix all the crap these guys tear up.

Just confirmed Michael McDowell was fitted in Kyle Busch's Cup car this morn.

Gibbs, Kyle and the redneck gang that made all this possible are meeting in the hauler right now.

Joe should have fitted up Hornaday for the seat!!!! That would really be neat

lol That would have been epic. I doubt Kyle runs another NW or truck race this year. Ron will probably be satisfied.

McDowell is being fitted into the 18 Cup car right now.

Busch parked for remainder of Texas weekend for Truck actions

NASCAR has parked Kyle Busch for the remainder of the events at Texas Motor Speedway for his actions during Friday night's Truck Series race, when Busch wrecked Ron Hornaday under caution.

Busch was parked for the rest of the Truck race, and afterward NASCAR met with Busch and Joe Gibbs and J.D. Gibbs of Joe Gibbs Racing, which owns the Nationwide and Cup series cars Busch drives. NASCAR announced its decision Saturday morning, prior to Sprint Cup Series practice.

Michael McDowell will be the replacement in the Cup car.

What a piece of chit he is. If I was a team owner I'd offer a bounty to the S & P'ers to wreck him in every race he enters.

How Gibbs puts up with his crap beyond me. I guess you can sell your soul to the Devil.

At least we don't have to listen to Andy calling him a golden boy anymore. Checkmate Andy

Nascar did the right thing but if Kyle was actually in contention for the cup championship I don't think there is anyway they would have actually taken him out of that race tomorrow.

Kyle might get penalized, but he won't be suspended. Fact of the matter is, the race will sell out and TV ratings will jump 35% for no other reason than people will watch to boo Kyle Busch.

Guess you were wrong Andy.

kyle left them no choice.

considering how long, hard, and fast he pushed hornaday and the resultant impact, nascar had to put driver safety first. throw in kyle's history and i don't believe this was a difficult decision.

Sounds like they might not be done just yet. I just heard em say on Speed that he has been Parked not suspended. If it was suspension they would have drove him to the airport. But it also sounded like NASCAR was looking at going further with this.

somewhere i think i can hear rick hendrick holding his broken ribs while chuckling and saying "i told you so."

Hats off to NASCAR for making the correct call. There's finally a line that has been set in the Boyz Have At It era.

Agreed. Can't remember the last time a big name Cup driver was parked for a Cup race after an incident in another series.

Real question is does this humble him, or does he still think he is right and everyone is out to get him? I'd love to see a press release from Dollar General on Monday saying they are pulling their sponsorship from his truck.

Gibbs sounds really shaken up. This whole thing could blow up even more depending on Kyles reaction over the next week.

When Kyle finally does face the press, he will give some phoney apology and then get back to business as usual come February.

The boy had real anger issues. Maybe he should go to the Tony Stewart anger managment and charm school classes.

Wait............... never mind. :D

No matter what the penalties are, I hope one of them is to make Kyle pay KHI for the truck. Part of this incident is Kyles HATE for K.H. This is the problem with ALL professional sports, they don't make them pay enough $$$$ for their actions........

BTW....Does anyone know if Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards are Jewish ????
Just curious................

What does being Jewish have to do with this???????????????

Good call by Nascar. For Kyle this has to be a torture.
I am not wanting him to be miserable or suffer, life is to short for that kind of stuff.

But I do hope he feels enough regret to learn something from it, and grows up, this is his Achilles heel.

In spite of his claims, sooner or later he is going realize he was wrong.

Last year, the media tried to make Kyle into a racing God based on his dominance of the little leagues. This year, the media has been all over Keselowski while Kyle stinks up the chase while he hasn't had the minor leagues to fall back on.

He sure made Kurts radio rants seem like mild stuff.
