See any good movies lately?

Love And Honor was another one I watched yesterday. There is a problem with my background check at work and I can't work again until they get it straightened out so, what else am I gonna do.

Love And Honor was an interesting movie. I liked it a lot. I recorded it mostly because Teresa Palmer is in it (who is beyond hot) and it sounded like an interesting story. It's about two guys who are fighting in Vietnam and they get ambushed. One of them gets shot in the head, but lived through it with barely a scratch as his helmet takes the brunt of it. They end up getting a 7 day R&R leave and sneaking off to America to see one of the guys' girl who just sent him a dear john letter. It gets really interesting and takes a lot of twists and turns. Everyone will see movies that deal with Vietnam differently based on their own experiences. This doesn't sugar coat a lot of stuff, but it is well made and well acted. I highly recommend it.

Saw 22 Jump Street last night, it may have actually been a little funnier than the first one. I laughed through the whole thing.

Watched X-Men Days of Future Past. Bryan Singer is the man. The movie is epic. And for those wondering, he completely ignored several events from X3.

Transformers 4 over the weekend. Was epic. Gotta see #3 to understand #4 (as expected) but it was just great. Worth $8 to see badass cars, a hottie, gripping action & some sprinkling of comedic relief. Sci Fi fantasy at its best.

Saw Joy Ride 3. The Paul Walker original one was pretty good. Not so much for the last two straight to DVD ones.

Straight to DVD sequels typically suck. They're usually just rehashes of the original with people you've never heard of.

One thing I will say. I'll probably make it all the way through, and hopefully I'll see every single character end up in "federal **** you in the *** prison."

That thing was way too long.

That movie was way too long and every single character was a massive bag of douche.
Exactly. There was not one single character to like. Nor did anything ever happen that even brought the slightest sympathy over what happened to any of them.

Watching The Fantastic Four from 2005. I can see why this was so hated in the comic based movie realm. This thing is a piece of crap. Well, except for Jessica Alba :growl:

To be fair, comic book readers hate every movie. They're still bitching about Gal Gadot being cast as Wonder Woman and how that movie's going to suck because she's not hot enough. Yeah, that "Batman vs. Superman" movie is going to suck, but it won't be because of Gal Gadot. It'll suck because Man of Steel sucked and the plot details that have been revealed for this one are even worse than that ****show.

The Interviewer asked:

“Wonder Woman has curves, will you be getting those...what about your breasts?”
To which Gadot replied:

"It’s the physical preparations that I’m starting now. A very serious training regimen – Kung Fu, kickboxing, swords, jujutsu, Brazilian…1,000 and 1 things…I’ll gain body mass...Wonder Woman is amazonian, and historically accurate Amazonian women actually had only one breast. So, if I’d really go 'by the book'…it’d be problematic."

That may be true, but this movie truly sucked.

I saw Need For Speed the other night. If you're willing to overlook it being an obvious Fast and Furious ripoff and some corny acting it's a decent watch.

Wife and I went to see Jersey Boys a few weeks ago, and then took the boys to see Planes Fire and Rescue this past weekend.

They were both ok.

We don't go to the movies often, just doesnt seem to be a lot of good movies out, plus, it gets expensive.

I saw The Amazing Spider Man 2 at the $1 theater yesterday with the wife and kids. It was better than I expected. Of course, Emma Stone, is just smoking hot and makes just about anything better.

I saw Edge Of Tomorrow at the $1 movies yesterday. It was pretty good for a sci-fi flick. It's not my favorite genre, but we got there too late to see the movie we really wanted to see and this one started 10 minutes later. As a consolation prize it was really good. I'm not a big fan of Tom Cruise, but I do like Emily Blunt, and not just because she is hot. She is a pretty good actor. It actually got pretty funny, and especially entertaining, when you weren't expecting it to and at a very welcoming point in the movie. It was well worth seeing.

So I did make it through, and thought it was a pretty good movie. The level of douchebaginess was something else though.

Love the movie but yeah.. These guys all got wayy too materialistic, achieving legendary levels of douchebaggery.

I do love this scene though.

I also loved seeing those jackasses strung out on old school quaaludes. Lmao...

I watched "The Raid 2" the other night. I think it was the most violent movie I've ever seen. Good movie though. (of course it requires reading subtitles....it''s Indonesian.)
