See any good movies lately?

I liked it pretty well. I was handicapped by having read the book and I was comparing it to the book the entire time. I've also read just about every one of the author's books so I definitely already had a preconceived idea in my head of what all of the characters looked like and that always makes it tough when you are watching a movie. It just makes it seem off, like a part of your brain is saying, "hey, that's not so and so".
I read the book after seeing the movie. As usual, the book was better. I'd love to see a movie version of the other books in the series as well. It's a great series.

I was talking about The Lincoln Lawyer earlier, A Time To Kill was a fantastic movie. Tremendous acting by Matthew McConaughey, Samuel L Jackson, and others and an extremely well written story.
A time to kill, in my opinion is a rare example of a movie being better than the book. Great movie, the book just isn't as good.

I'm with you there. I always like it better when I see the movie first. I like the book series quite a bit.

I never read the book. The movie though, as I said, was exceptional. I seem to remember it being a very long movie but I enjoyed it immensely anyway.

The Walk with Joseph Gordon Levitt. He plays high wire walker Philippe Petit who illegally set up a wire between the Twin Towers and crossed them eight times with no safety harness in 1974. True story to boot. I absolutely loved the film.

I finally saw Creed last night and it was excellent! I am a huge Rocky fan so it could have been a load a crap and I'd have probably still loved it, so I'm probably not the best person to take an opinion from on this one. It was kind of predictable and unrealistic but I loved it anyway. Michael B. Jordan was excellent in the lead role.

I saw this by mistake a few weeks ago (reserved another movie on Redbox, but instead it kicked this out at me). It was pretty good, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

The Purge: Election Year

Let me just say they should stop making these already.

"Lights Out" that's coming out this weekend looks interesting, looks like it's getting some pretty good reviews as well.

Same here. Huge Rocky fan, but Creed was fantastic. I'd say it's better that 3-6 but not on par with 1 and 2.

When I first heard of it, I wanted to see it. The longer I go without seeing it, the less interested I am. I'm not sure why. It just looks like it has a ton of blood and gore which is typically involved in movies that aren't that great. Seems the writers who do so try to win the audience over with the blood instead of the plot. I watch movies for the plot...not for the blood and action involved.

As far as "Lights Out" goes, that's definitely a movie I'm interested in. It looks really good.

Just saw the new Ghostbusters movie. That's $30 and two hours I'll never get back. F**king terrible.
Thanks for the warrning. Luckily, my wife has no desire to see it, and you couldn't have paid me to see it to begin with, so there's that.

It's easily the worst movie I've seen at a theater in the last 10 years. And I saw Grown-Ups at the theater.

I strongly disagree with the ghostbusters reviews here, I loved it it was hysterical

Glad you liked it, but I wasn't feelin' it. It's only got a 5.4/10 on IMDB as well, so I guess I'm not alone.
I personally went in not expecting much, and was pleasenltly suprised, I think all the negative publicity it got from people before it was even released pulled it down a bit.

Plus I never agree with movie critics, I love movies they hate and hate movies they love.

Central Intelligence. Pretty average color by numbers comedy. Kevin Hart plays the same character in every movie.

Letters To Juliet

It was a chick flick that I watched with my daughters last night and we all enjoyed the heck out of it. Thank you very much.

Just saw Suicide Squad. What a completely brainless "shoot em up" movie. Corny punchlines, zero plot. Meh.

I put superhero movies to bed a long time ago. I refuse to give Hollywood my money for that mindless garbage. I tried to watch Guardians of the Galaxy since it was on STARZ(I think). I couldn't stand it. Just a bunch of people running around in spandex looking silly. Give me the SPAWN movie we deserve, and then I might go see it. The live action SPAWN was a complete joke. You mean to tell me that a PG-13 movie has to use the line, "I'm going to kick his butt." Surely you can say "ass" in a PG-13 movie, though that movie has way worse issues..

Don't watch Independence Day 2. Horrible movie.

The trailer made me not want to see it.

That movie was a steaming pile of ****. Most of them are, honestly. The Dark Knight trilogy and the X-Men movies are the only ones I enjoy.

I knew "Batman vs. Superman" would suck before I saw it, because Man Of Steel sucked. Badly.

Summer flicks are not meant to be substantive. Duh.

They're summer flicks for a reason. Action, action, action. Just dumb fun.

I just watched The Bourne Legacy so that I can watch the new one and not be afraid of missing some information. I hadn't watched it because Matt Damon wasn't in it. It wasn't as good as the ones with Damon but it was pretty good anyway.

The Gunman with Sean Penn was really good. I didn't expect it to be what it was for some reason. It was great and his love interest in the movie is stunning!

I watched The Blair Witch Project tonight. It actually holds up pretty well for a 20 year old movie.

About Time from 2013 starring Domhnall Gleason and Rachel McAdams. I absolutely loved this movie! I'd have never picked it, but it's what my oldest daughter wanted to watch on her birthday. It was a complete surprise.

I saw this in theaters back then, thoroughly enjoyed it. Looking forward to the sequel.

I have mixed feelings on the sequel. I mean it already looks a ton better than Book of Shadows. But the trailer switches back and forth between found footage and cinema mode.

I'm not big on MMA but the movie "Warrior" is a fantastic movie.

Going in to see Jason Bourne in 15 minutes. First time I've been to a theater that serves ****tails :)
Oh lord. Alcohol and movies don't mix. My buddy and I went to Martinsville qualifying and drank a case of beer. We left there and went to see Paranormal Activity. We passed out after about 5 minutes. At the end we had some patrons waking us up.
