That's a good Xfinity car. Whoever gets that ride has a really good chance for a championship if they can drive.

I don't see any awkward going on, Childress booted him. It wasn't the other way around. Creed is an odd duck, pretty sure personalities didn't jive.

It's more that Gragson and Larson were both suspended for racially insensitive incidents and Ford told Tony he couldn't hire Larson. We don't know if SHR could have outbid Hendrick if Tony could have tried.

So now the rumor is Gragson is going to drive for Tony/Ford? Anybody see the lack of logic in this lol.

Not at all. I never heard Tony say that was so, so that rumor doesn't hold a lot of weight. On the other hand Larson has said publicly that Rick called him many times when Larson was suspended concerned that he was doing ok.
I know if I was offered a driving job at Hendrick or one for SHR, it's a no brainer.

Smoke himself said that he wanted to hire Larson but Ford said no. You might want to contact Smoke with further questions.
 
I don't understand the appeal of Gragson. I'm not even talking about his personality or his "controversial" social media stuff, but strictly his results on the track. Doesn't he kind of suck??? I know Legacy hasn't been great, but he was literally the worst driver in the Cup field. Maybe second worst after Ty Dillon.

The sample size was pretty small, and Legacy was in quite a state of flux when he got there. By the time their performance overall improved, he was already gone. His performance was certainly disappointing, but I'm not ready to bury the guy just yet. I don't have anything concrete to back this up, but I have heard that with Jimmie coming on board, and the change of manufacturer, Noah knew he was basically toast there before he ever got settled in. IF the story of his resigning is true, (I'm not sure that it is) that may explain it.
 
“I have asked Legacy Motor Club to release me from my contract so that I can take time to work through the NASCAR reinstatement process,” Gragson said in a Thursday statement. “I love racing, and I am looking forward to a second chance to compete for wins at the highest level of NASCAR — and most importantly, make my family, my team and the fans proud of me once again.”

He did basically say it, it I want to say it was on the Kenny Conversation YouTube show.


But anyway it would be interesting seeing Gragson and Berry teammates in Cup


And tbh I’m a fan of Tony, I just never could like them with Harvick as their lead driver.

Typical PR worded press release, which means the odds of it being even 50% true are about 50-50. It is just as likely he was told to "leave and make it look like your idea and save a little dignity, or else we fire you. Oh, by the way if we fire you for cause, we don't have to pay you. If you leave on your own, we'll give you severance." It is also about as likely that he knew he was a dead man walking at Legacy anyway, and instead of hanging around in limbo on suspension, he could bail and concentrate on his comeback. By quitting, he saved himself from the weekly obligatory "still on suspension" news reminder. One case where out of sight, out of mind is a good thing.

The rate at which people fall for PR spin is pretty alarming. I guess this is why the PR people get paid the big bucks.

I asked the same questions about Larson, but I am repeatedly told here that Rick has to literally beat off potential sponsors for the 5 car with a stick. And once again, it HAS to be true, because Rick said so..........
