So what do you all really think of Kurt? Do you still despise him?

you know I have always not liked kurt very well over the years. but for some reason I actually kinda pull for him. I was hoping today he would hold up for the pole. the longer I am a fan the more of a fan of the sport I have become. I am less about certain drivers, as long as they actually can drive and more about enjoying the ebb and flow of racing and the personalities. I wish kurt well and hope he gets back on top of his career again.

I don't like Kurt at ALL...one of my least favorite of all time quite honestly....but I do respect that he is a wheel man for sure...has proven that big time this year.

It would be a great story if Kurt can win a championship with SHR.
That would be awesome if a one car team kicked ass on the multi-car teams. Who wouldn't want to see that? That would wreak of Alan Kulwicki...
*Edit* I thought you meant with FRR. My bad.

Keep pulling for him, he needs all the fans he can get.

Things change, people don't. I can't say if he has been a prick his whole life or has all this fame and attention made him act this way.
One thing for sure is he sure can drive.

And now that I have started this thread, you know what this means don't you?

I am now your friend and you have to post to me on the board. :p

I don't follow a driver for what he does outside of the car.

Incidentally, possums have 80 teeth, the most of any mammal. They're like a junkyard animal; a bunch of parts thrown together.
Since you are the animal whisperer come get rid of this armadillo that is tearing up my front yard.

Yep, they have a lifespan of about a year but I don't know what the life span in captivity is, and they will eat anything that lays still long enough.

This isn't my first possum. My last one lived 3 1/2 years.
I've had coons too, terrorists after 11pm.

Kurt had the world by the short hairs and wizzed it away. What he did to his wife turned my stomach and for that reason alone I would never trust him.

I wish him the best.

Kurt may be the best raw talent of the last 15 years.

Kyle is great but more of a driving
beast compared to Kurt.
Kurt has a smoothness like a knack or some sense that seems so natural.

In the 97 he handled places like Bristol and Darlington like a master in his first few seasons.
I think his inner demons (for lack of a better term) derailed him. Redemption is a good thing, most everyone has needed it at sometime in their life.

But still I will be watching to see how well he handles the opportunity he has worked hard to regain.

There is something to be liked about a driver surviving strictly on driving, without a clue on how to kiss ass. In the past I thought he was a mouthy punk, other times more an old school driving fool (driving fool =genius). That's a dying breed, I will at least always appreciate Kurt for his driving skills. I hope he never learns to kiss ass, while learning to keep quiet when he feels a rage coming on.

Kurt seems like a good guy who has a bit of a temper issue. He got himself into a bit of a mess a couple years ago, but I'm glad to see him rebound. I've been a fan of his since I began watching.

I'd love to see him win the Cup with FRR!

Couldn't stand him a couple of years ago, but I'm coming around. Kurt and Kyle both hit the height of their douchiness toward the end of 2011 (Kurt firing f-bombs at Dr. Jerry Punch, Kyle turning Hornaday head first into the wall under caution in the Texas truck race), but since those incidents cost Kurt his job and nearly cost Kyle his, I think they've mellowed out a bit since then.

I saw a very interesting documentary on Kurt where he explains the Jerry Punch incident. Apparently he was pissed at the camera man. The whole short documentary is actually kinda sad and makes you feel for the struggles that Kurt has gone through these past few years.

The entire thing is on Youtube if anybody is interested.

Love his driving style, but both brothers act like they grew up with sliver spoons in their mouths. Their parents should be ashamed on how they turned out.
