So what do you all really think of Kurt? Do you still despise him?

Love his driving style, but both brothers act like they grew up with sliver spoons in their mouths. Their parents should be ashamed on how they turned out.

Parents tend to love their children unconditionally.......I'm sure the Busch bros. parents are no exception.

I like him a lot more this year.
But we have a lot of racing left to go.
He's still on a short leash with me.

I have a feeling that after tonight, KuBu may be the most despised individual this place has seen in a long, long time and I'm all for it :D

I've always thought he was an ass, and a total jerk to his teammates and members of the media alike. After watching that piece "The Outlaw" I thought wow, this guy is just totally oblivious as to how big a douche he really is. Even when he tries to be the good guy he comes across as an arrogant, stuck up spoiled brat. The one good thing he has going for him is that girlfriend of his, who seems to be doing some very valuable PR work.

On the other hand Kurt along with his brother, is IMO one of the very best drivers in the sport. I would put Kurt in the top 5 drivers in all of NASCAR. He is one of the select few who is fast at every track, plate races, short, intermediate, road course it doesn't matter Kurt always seems to be fast and not many others can do that. He really puts on a show and holds nothing back so I love watching him race, it's always exciting to me. I enjoy seeing him out there because he and Kyle are both a change from all the vanilla drivers who won't say or do anything controversial. I actually enjoy watching them have meltdowns, but I certainly don't condone their behavior.

I started not liking him when he had an incident with Jimmy Spencer. He earned my respect winning the cup (still didn't like him). I started warming up to him after he learned to behave. I started to like him after I watched a Humpy Wheeler program where in talked with Kurt about getting mad on the track. I disliked him when they started broadcasting him lambasting his Penske team. Now I see him running well with a small team and I'm warming up to him again. I've never oscillated on a driver this much before.

People who have met Mama Busch say they know where those 2 get their foul mouth....and personality.

I became a fan of Kurt's after Rusty retired. I followed him all the way up through the Jerry Punch incident. I had had enough of his sh*t then. So, I no longer supported Kurt as my driver. Disliked him after that. I even sold a bunch of my Kurt Busch memorabilia. Now, he has warmed back up to me. I do back him again and want to see him do well. Really hoping he makes the Chase tonight. Sadly, I regret selling the stuff I sold. :( Took me forever to get that 1/24th #99 Exide Craftsman Truck diecast.

Long ride ahead.
I usually take route 40 but this time I decided to take 70 and hangout in Vail Co for a day. It is beautiful country west of Denver. But to stay on topic with this thread... I would like to see Kurt do good next year.

I skied there for a week back in 1979. It was supposed to be for 2 days, but I got lucky.

Ahhh....those were the days. It is beautiful country.

Jerry Punch just called Kurt his friend ;)

Kurt was never mad at Jerry, it was the camera man he was pissed at. Kurt acted like a spoiled brat, but what he was feeling tells you a lot about him. He had just had a transmission explode on the track, and Jerry had just told him a piece went thru Tony's front grill. So Kurt was falling apart because he thought he just cost Tony the 2011 championship.

Oh yeah, I know! Kurt's a good guy, just gotta bad temper :)

He wears his heart on his sleeve...or was it his shoe? Anyway, he and Kyle's emotional development was hampered by too much exhaust fumes.

Kurt is the man. Been my favorite driver since 2003. In the chase despite a terrible pit crew, he's gonna dominate next year with SHR.

I still despise Kurt Busch, yes. He has the worst attitude of any NASCAR driver I have ever seen, present or past. If multiple teams fire a championship driver because he is such an insufferable a$$, it should say something. Alot of people argue that maybe kurt isnt like that at all in real life outside of the car, but I would think the teams have a much better sense of whats going on than the public. I cant stand the guy and I am surprised he still gets rides with all his bridge-burning.

like em or love em', he earned it this year

and im tough on his crew, but when he ****** up he's admitted it and taken responsibility..all beit while still drivin the wheels off that thing. GL Kurt, Kyle, and Bowyer

Somehow I think there's a direct correlation between Kurt's arrogant personality and his success behind the wheel.

Meaning, unlike say Jeff Gordon and Mark Martin, if Kurt were a nice guy he'd probably suck as a driver.

Kurt is a wheel man, always has been.Always will be. People disliking Kurt to the degree they do/did was always over the top and kind of inexplicable---especially when you consider that this is a sport where even Kevin Harvick has fans.....

Amid all the hubbub with "Spingate", I'd like to congratulate Kurt and FRR for making the Chase. They're the first single-car team to do so if I'm not mistaken.

The 78 team took a big gamble this year and it paid off bigtime with Kurt . Hope they both have success next year.

Congratulations to KuBu. Way to bring down the mighty HMS.

I called him being the most hated driver after Richmond...I was way off ;)

I like that . A lot of famous drivers and athletes in other fields have been single minded , purposeful , and full of themselves . I think that to be the best , you must first believe you are the best . Some show it more than others , some keep it hidden , but there can be no self doubt.

KB like him or hate him I know your all just secretly waiting for the next time he SNAPS!!!
