Storage building

Ordered SAE tap & die set from Home Depot for 31ish bucks. Only place found anything could pick-up today was Hazzard Fright. Nope. Junk. So go with HD Chinesium junk. Be here friday they say.

Got tap & die set. Can't see enough to tell what it looks like. Fortunately did get call from Eye surgeon this morning that confirms we gonna do some torch work on at least one at 7:40 AM Monday. Typing this was fairly tough. Even if get the PCO removed/fixed in left eye the floater in right makes everything under 8 foot pretty difficult to decipher. Floater treatment isn't considered a valid concern for Medicare. So...unless somebody wants to donate to my gofundme, ain't gonna happen. TheFloaterDoctor on YouTube claims to have fairly good results @ the neighborhood of $5K an eye with no guarantee. Prefers cash.

Broke down and did it. Not fun to assemble. Instructions are optional...right? Nothing has been tightened. Need to see if it fitz furst! Fifty 2 bucks out the door at Hazzard Fright.

Gotz the toofers cleaned. No waterboarding this trip. On the 4 month schedule. Never had regular, or much of any, dental coverage before. MA Plan provides $2K. Will use way less than half this year.

One thing doc mentioned is have severe dry eye especially in left one. Have been running an electric heater in bedroom all winter. So...after watching a YouTube video about home treatments for dry eye, humidifier and a heated eye mask. Doc said my left eye could stand to be sanded with some 400 and work toward 2000 grit sandpaper. SAID IT'S ROUGH AS A COB! Use eye drops several times day. At least four. He prescribed eyedrops to treat the retina, i'll attempt to read he instructions in about 6 hours, that will possibly reduce the swollege. May end up getting a needle in the eye! Yikes!

Prednisolone. One drop 4 times day.

The steroid has done nothing so far. Getting close to considering wearing an eyepatch over that eye. Making it really tough to read.

The causes of this condition aren't just a health thing but also too much screen time. Guilty! Probably 14 or more hours day for me.

Still no change. Don't smell smoke. Don't taste copper. Think both of those are good. Got the humidifier. It smokes but not like a fire. Man hope the drops fix it so don't have to get the needle in the eyeball. That just doesn't sound like fun.

One thing the drops have done is remove any interest in staying awake and/or eating. Just feel rather wrung out. Not exactly tired. Just off. Me no likey.

Absolutely zero energy. I hate taking drugs/medications. Of any kind.

Otay buckwheat I think something is happening. Feel pressure behind left eye. I mean VERY slight but definitely something. How I originally noticed this issue, along with letters being a bit crooked, is when looking at TV with left eye only...shrunken heads. Straight lines like a door way are wavy.

Right now typing this is miserable. Never was great at typing. Fact my tear glands don't function correctly blurs vision too. So at ;east two problems at once. Hopefully good lube will help sand the rough spots off that eye.

The issue with retina is the "lining" of the eye is inflamed. That surface has to be smooth and spherical. Like my brain. SMoooooth!

De lump ain't supposed to be there. Either surgery to port & polish or medical trial eye drops straight from Chernobyl. We gonna try the drops! No idea what I've typed but probably close enough.

Otay. Doc called. As with every medical trial you have to qualify. So...we shall see. NOT eye drops.

Six injections over six month period. If don't see any improvement in the 30 days after first injection, you got the placebo. Then they start over and do the old-school treatment where they remove top of skull and go it thru back of eye?
🤪

Left eye is not happy today. Didn't like being opened and extremely light sensitive. Aching and somewhat red. Suspect stopping the steroid drops cold turkey wasn't the best idea. Probably should have weaned off but Doc said quit taking it.

Eye is much better today. Some light sensitivity this morning but very little pain. Need to do the paperwork for next appointment but avoiding white screen of monitor which is a TCL TV. Can't figure out any way to change the display color.

After reading the 27 pages of info on the medical trial for new drug for Maceral Edema gonna pass as 33% chance you get a fake injection. They don't even squirt pond water in or anything. No needle on syringe. Just seems wonky to me. I'm not much of a gambler. Rather just move forward with what they been using for years (corticosteroid). Six month trial just seems too drawn out. I need results not maybes.

Wasted 100ish miles of gas for this splitter. Was in Chapel Hill. Now have to buy the rest of the parts to install it.

Redoing this thang. Needs to be 3.5ish inches taller when setting on the floor. Fortunately a 2x4 is 3.5 inches wide. Pocket holes screwed in place. Next need to attach the retractable wheel assembly. Being 42% blind makes it interesting.

It rolls. Need to decide what screws to use to mount the casters. The screws in now won't work. Casters can't caster. Possibly use 1/4" carriage nolts. Also need to put on a permanent top surface.

Triple whammy delamination Dilation? Whatever. Gonna do the trial. They gonna pay me to do it! Worst case, after say 3 months with no improvement, can bail and go to a different treatment. Will know if officially qualified within 2 weeks. Then 44 week treatment. Shot every 4 weeks.

This stuff is insane. This procedure is the next step if the drugs don't work. Doc said my membrane...man getting old sucks. The words just slid out my ear. Not attached very firmly? It was adhesion/traction adjacent but can't retrieve his words. This is just terrifying to look at. Hand held forceps? Yikes! Hopefully the new drug works. I'm entering the 3rd and final part of the trial so they feel fairly certain of positive results except for the fact, humans are humans. We don't all react the same way.

Stumbled onto enough lag bolts to attach wheels. Not sure if grind them off or buy
1000000947.jpg
short carriage bolts & replace. Made the base plywood larger so won't be as likely to tip over when a top drawer is opened. Not looking forward to the phone call from back home. I'm fairly certain Dad kicked all the dirt off when he saw me measuring and laying out location of wheels. He was a stick a bolt in, then stick another in, then stick another in kinda guy. No need for everything to be sympathetic...ummm? Symmetry? Nope. Symmetrical! Oddly enough was a machinist. Absolutely a hack at building stuff. It was a blast!😂

This particular part number/supplier is 75 bucks on Amazon. so "saved" about 20 bucks.

About 15 minutes from home, on I-264 in right lane, see a boat sitting next to road. WAZE did the usual warning. So I leaned slight left to leave room incase some dummy walked out next to the boat. About that time the guy took that as a signal to pull out. Two lane traffic, running 75ish MPH in knot of about 15 cars. I turned right and was beside the boat in a flash in the grass! Cars behind me scattered every which way but we all missed him. What an idiot!

Him...not me! I ain't never done sumping dumb.
