Only a mountain truck would need that many gears....early in my county career, I drove a dump with 5-speed 4 speed auxilsary trans......2 shifting levers..

We had an off road truck that used to belong to an oil company, had a 5 and a 4 and a 2 speed rear axle....... really tough to split shift
 
Yep, the one we had was a chevy, had the 427 truck engine, it was a real handful to drive, also had air brakes and if the air got to low there was no stopping it

A pain in thee ass!! I hated to drive that truck. they went to all automatics now. pussies. :biggrin:

lol....never went looking for the date of that.
OK, I was booted from both TR and NFP then. :wacko:

Never cared much about the TR one, I laughed it off and was back the next day with a new name.

I counted 13 shifts and only uses the stick with the skull once so that can be the split from the low range to high range. He shifted 5 times and started over....Squirrel the 24 hauler drivers he has an 18 speed in his truck...

yelling. One of you jumped all over a member's comment with a hostile, belligerent answer. I understand that you were protecting
a valued member, but wouldn't a simple explanation been friendlier?

I understand your fear for your friend who ran NFP. Right now that's your concern.
But you also need to be concerned about this forum, too, and some show no desire to make new friends.

Hi there TRL.. I appreciate what you're saying. I've posted a little bit in other threads but I've been super busy these past couple of weeks with things going on at home... and right now with it being the off season, there's just not much to post with regard to racing. I did post a bit in the NFL tread... or some thread.. LOL.. but my team sucks this year, and it's really sad the way they're screwing around with our QBs.. so there's not much to say there either. Anyway, my work week is done a day early this week so will try to post elsewhere more.

Hey Randy I think his guy switched sticks for his selector buttons. The one on the left is his range selector middle is the actual gear selector and the right stick is his high low range selector.....what a PITA to drive that truck....

I didn't see these posts but in both cases, the issue is almost moot since neither are even on here (or were on NFP) that much anyway, particularly OBO. Sometimes it's months before we even see him. But regardless, never cause to be rude to the nice people who welcomed us here.
 
Pat I can't help it but every time I see your avatar I think of Jack Roush and laugh. Is that the reasoning behind it?

Good morning Lin. :waver: I was going to mention that but I saw OBO posted on some other threads and thought maybe they will post more often.
