Burton is the worst. I like Letarte and Jr though, they’re decent.

IMO MRN is where it’s at, that’s what I love about attending races at Charlotte. MRN does a fantastic job on the scanners and Squier is the PA announcer

If Burton would just talk normal he might be OK. Right now he sounds like a little girl trying to get it all out before some one shuts off his mike. Maybe they are paid by the word.

I'm not kidding, sometimes I turn it on and briefly think he must be on helium. He sounds utterly ridiculous trying to shout over the action, not at all what he used to sound like in the studio or during his driving career.
 
I miss Mike Joy. I miss "Crank It Up." I really, really miss the scoring column on the left side of the screen. I think NBC knows the column is better, so they show it every now and again for a moment, but they are too stubborn to adopt it full time because Fox had it first. JMO.

They used it for maybe the final 20 laps. I don’t understand. It’s far better than the traditional ticker.
 
I thought NBC was going to have some kind of 100 MPH camera to wow us..I really miss that thing...not. I guess one of them figured out how stupid it looks filming 200 MPH cars with a 100MPH camera. Having to weed out the pile of B.S. Chase implications and listening to Burton sounding like a pissed off gerbil for two and a half hours. It helps to have a sense of humor.

I always appreciate the P-L-A-Y-O-F-F implications reminders. Otherwise I wouldn't know that a DNF, Divers error, or great move, made a damn.
I would just think it was just aother moment.
I wish they would give Rick a toggle switch and get me some screen bling going on, and a cowbell to accompany the P-L-A-Y-O-F-F implications reminders.

Congratulations to Vince Welsh, Kyle Larson, and Christopher Bell for a fine broadcast from Eldora. Vince is way under-rated as a play-by-play guy, IMO. Larson and Bell both added a lot of insight and interest to the show.

I particularly liked Vince's opening line... "When you're in Rossberg, Ohio, it might FEEL like you're in the middle of nowhere, but make no mistake, you're definitely in the RIGHT place."

Unfortunately, Michael Waltrip's cheesy persona and cringe-worthy breathless exaggerations continue to set new lows on a weekly basis. But he out-did even hisownself when telling the world what a gem Tony Stewart's race track is by extolling the virtues of "the beautiful billboards along the back stretch" (exact quote from Clown Michael)...
You can't make this stuff up..:bleh:

A lot of fans hate the pylon. NBC is trying to please everyone.

I'm with you though, the pylon is a huge upgrade.
 
They stated the qualifying talking about some
stupid poll about their wardrobes.

Just STFU and talk about the race. I don't give a **** about what Letarte, Burton, or Junior is wearing.
Leave that kind of stuff to hawt wimmins like Danielle Trotta.

Jeff: YOUR EXACTLY RIGHT STEVE! THIS IS THE HARDEST TRACK TO PASS AT SO YOU WILL SEE A LOT OF BUMPER USAGE, ALOT OF GUYS KNOCKING EACH OTHER OUT OF THE WAY AND THATS WHAT THESE SEGMENTS HAVE DONE. THOSE TOP 10 POSITIONS OF GETTING POINTS? THAT COULD BE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A TITLE SHOT AND NOT MAKING IT TO HOMESTEAD. Anyone notice after every race, they talk about how the winner is the champion favorite now OR about how he has solidified a playoff birth and they talk about how big that is
 
I like listening to Junior just like I liked listening to Benny Parsons. I honestly believe that if Junior chooses to do it long enough, he will be a Hall of Fame announcer.
 
Jr came up with all kinds of stuff I haven't ever heard before and it wasn't politically correct Nascar/network nonsense. He has his own style and it is starting to come out. I hope they are smart enough to let him wear what he damn well wants, and SFU and let him do his thing.
