IIRC, Bowman has been on the front row for 4 straight seasons.13 of the last 14 Daytona 500 poles belong to Chevy, with only Carl Edwards in 2012 breaking up the run since 2007.
Crazy stretch of qualifying dominance.
Yeah I was thinking about bailing out of work after a few hours tomorrow and heading over for the duels after saying I wasn't gonna go to any speedwek events this year lol. Gonna check the hourly forecast in the morning and decide.*sigh* looks like tonight was the last day we won't be talking about the weather.
Scattered thunderstorms starting tomorrow around 8pm and I'll let someone else find a a forecast the rest of the weekend to post because the ones I've seen are all terrible.
I drove to Whittier and got me a delicious pizza and then stopped by the slot car track and had a strawberry sunday.Congratulations.
Will you have a celebratory snack?
Elliott 2016 and 2017IIRC, Bowman has been on the front row for 4 straight seasons.
Front row, not the pole.Elliott 2016 and 2017
Bowman 2018
Byron 2019
Bowman 2021
Are Preece and Ragan locked in now?
Yep, that's very impressive. He always seems to have a fast car there and he definitely has that track figured out. Being the only one to go 191 was pretty awesome also. Now I just hope he can avoid any trouble for 500 miles and put the 48 in the winners circle.Front row, not the pole.
2018 - P1
2019 - P2
2020 - P2
2021 - P1
Bowman has started on the front row for the Daytona 500 ever since he signed with HMS.
Oh ...
That is the same attitude that has us in the U.S. #1 in the world with being the world's gomers when it comes to the pandemic. This whole thing is partisan & absurd. I'm the furthest thing from political, but it's so obvious the attack on certain states based on political affiliation.
The whole thing is a global public health crisis. You've lost almost 500,000 people in a year. This whole thing is partisan & absurd. I'm the furthest thing from political, but it's so obvious the attack on certain states based on political affiliation.
Being a Floridian I am fascinated by how interested the rest of the country is of what goes on in our state. I mean if we were Louisiana or Alabama I could understand. This whole thing is partisan & absurd. Yeah, NASCAR must have realized that we had all caught on when they were reading our posts on here. Glad we could make a difference.Conspiracy theory # 1 has failed.

Probably because of thisBeing a Floridian I am fascinated by how interested the rest of the country is of what goes on in our state. I mean if we were Louisiana or Alabama I could understand.
On average Florida is 3 percentage points better than the rest of the country for number of cases. Something right must be happening down here.State borders are imaginary lines on a map.
People are interested in what goes on in Florida because it's Florida. In this case, it blows Covid all over North America after every one of Deathsantis' super-spreader events ... this mutt wants to be President.
Best vote for Ryan Blaney.
Florida is middle of the road when it comes to their covid death rate and that is astounding when they are at the top of the list for elderly residents. Atleast they didn’t decide to throw covid patients in nursing homes, purposefully undercount their covid deaths, then write a book at how great of a job they’ve done.State borders are imaginary lines on a map.

Perhaps that's because the Republican leadership of those states have refused repeatedly to take this pandemic seriously. This whole thing is partisan & absurd. I'm the furthest thing from political, but it's so obvious the attack on certain states based on political affiliation.
Source, please. Is that raw numbers or per capita? On average Florida is 3 percentage points better than the rest of the country for number of cases. Something right must be happening down here.
I guess the dozen+ democrat elected officials who violated their own covid protocols are in the clear? Both sides are full of hypocrites during this pandemic and both sides have awful numbers in their respective states and municipalities.Perhaps that's because the Republican leadership of those states have refused repeatedly to take this pandemic seriously.
Yeah I agree, problem is they don't have cars that can go left or right down there. That does bring up a point about the new car. If the Chassis is locked down with specs, I wonder if it could go either way with some adjustments and a change to rain tires. That's probably too simple.Wouldnt hurt my feelings on bit if NASCAR said screw it , we are running rain tires
and road course all weekend for all divisions. Yep that would be two weeks in a row.
I could use a Daytona 500 with out the ginormous wrecks. But highly unlikely, so I guess
we have non stop air titans and replays of last years races to look forward to. Enough of
that though, I swore I would never complain about rain again after living through
a few major droughts, those are zero fun.
Nope. But at least they set protocols to violate, instead of leaving adjacent cities and counties to a mismash of insistent policies.I guess the dozen+ democrat elected officials who violated their own covid protocols are in the clear?
Ah yes because when the government creates rules, everyone follows them. If a government creates rules that they themselves break, without consequence, there are no rules.Nope. But at least they set protocols to violate, instead of leaving adjacent cities and counties to a mismash of insistent policies.
That is why the current leadership is full on trying to get everybody vaccinated as fast as possible. Weither you or I agree that the past leadership sat on their hands or not is irrelevant at this point. The virus doesn't care about which party anybody belongs too. But new strains are concerning and being number 1 in cases of the more powerful strain isn't good. This virus will continue to replicate and effect a much wider(younger) age group if we as a world don't get a handle on it. The younger Rambo's day will come if this virus continues to get stronger.I guess the dozen+ democrat elected officials who violated their own covid protocols are in the clear? Turning everything into a partisan battle has ruined any unified common ground on any issue, much less COVID-19. Government is not God. Relying on them to do anything in an efficient manner is asking for trouble. Do your own research, figure out your own precautions. Pointing the finger is a waste of energy only points 4 back at yourself.
