The new NASCAR.com coming January 1st

My Raceview subscription is good until 4/22, I'll make my mind up by then but will probably keep it if the price stays the same.
It's still $79 for the full package and $29 for the scanner feed only. If the pay mobile app turns out to be a good thing I'll drop the scanner feed all together.

What I meant was, the price could go up after the season starts, if it does I may not renew.

Im gonna make a site that has all the cameras. Track and cars. Pick your view. BAM, ol JOE is a millionaire.

Anybody want to volunteer to do the programming?

If it were that simple then NASCAR.com would already be doing it.

Maybe now that it's actually being run by NASCAR this can happen. This is NASCAR's first venture into the online world running the show. I think that there's plenty of good stuff to come.

Perhaps in the GEN 6 version. ;)

I think it's starting to come along.

Google has replaced Microsoft as the evil empire.

Google and Apple. Though, after getting an Android phone, I may never use an Apple phone ever again. Apple is so far behind, hardware and software, it's not even funny. And the thing is, Apple users don't even realize their products are dinosaurs compared to the Samsung and LG phones.

I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Love the phone but it chews through my battery pretty quick. :(

Yeah, my LG phone uses the same plug as my Kindle Fire tablet so I've got tons of chargers. And I do like that I can swap out batteries if mine dies - a good thing if I'm at a race for 14 hours.

I've purchased 6 extra cable off of eBay so that there is one everywhere I go. I've got three extra batteries that I take with me to the races and usually go through all of them. When this new mobile pay app is released along with the scanner option, I'll probably have to get a few more batteries.

Turn off all the "Location Service" things until you need them. I've discovered that those drain the battery real fast.

Believe me, I kill everything that isn't necessary on that phone under those situations. I'm grabbing as much battery like as possible. I'm up for a new phone in June I think. I'll be doing better homework before the next one. It'll still be Android though, I do know that.

Just got this in an email.....

Your annual subscription will now be billed on a seasonal basis starting this February and will automatically renew each year. Prices have been lowered to $79.95/season for RaceView Premium and $29.95/season for RaceView Audio. You will see this change on your next bill. There is nothing for you to do to receive this discount so you can continue to enjoy RaceView beginning with the 2013 Sprint Unlimited, Budweiser Duels and Daytona 500!

Looks like it will remain the same.

Yeah. My phone was free when I got Verizon. I had the option between this phone and the iPhone. The iPhone had half as much memory, half as much processing power, a smaller screen and the battery life was equal (plus the LG has up-gradable memory and batteries can be swapped out). No brainer. I've always been an iPhone person but the Android phones are better right now, IMO.

I got a iPhone 5 for my son for Christmas. His battery is far outlasting mine. That's still not going to push me in that direction though. I'm pretty partial to Android at this point.

Those Windows phones look good as well. But the iPhone ... I mean, you have one phone, one option, no way to upgrade it, no way to change the battery and if something happens to your phone while it's under warranty - unless you live in a big city, you're SOL.

Yeah, I get it. Even so, there are plenty of people out there that want/have one and that's okay. If everyone wanted the Android there would be no competition. I'd rather there be an us vs. them mentality.

That's 'an us' Fender. The space was intentional.

lol There's no way you would call yourself an anus. ;)

Just checked my raceview subscription DP, it was $99.95 last year, $79.95 this year.

That's cool. $20 discount. I wonder, do you think that will be the price of the mobile app service? That's my guess.

$79.95 is what I paid for that service a couple years ago.

So is it worth while downloading the App?....The free one. Any one here using it?

If you want info 'on the go' then it's worth it. I use it seldom though. Once the season starts it'll probably be a different story.

It's free though so you have nothing to lose. If you don't like it, delete it.

Yeah can just uninstall. I think it may become handy once the season starts too.
