The new NASCAR.com coming January 1st

Us fan council members are not supposed to broadcast that we are fan cancel members, remember the disclaimer that "we dont tell so you dont tell', so its not a braggadocio point to pursue for personal edification.

Wrong. We are not supposed to reveal the specific contents of the surveys.

Also they email us printable color membership certificates. Are those only to be hung (although I can't imagine that anyone would want to frame and hang one) in a secret location where there is no chance of detection?

So back on topic, please.:)

NASCAR.com looks good on my tablet but it takes 72.5 hours to load.
Take a round of wedge out and put another 1/2 pound in the right front.

It seems to be a bit slower on my desktop too, but I didn't visit the old site much; I'm not qualified to make an experienced comparison.

OK, who's the drunken lemur that designed the new NASCAR web page? Longtime fans want to know !!!

My opinion is and will remain that the so called new nascar.com suksass because it was designed for tiny little devices and left out features for the PC. And dont bother to try and make me see the light because I'm in my pissed off stubborn as a mule phase with this.

Now that's the real Johali. Yes.:D

I just did a live chat with NASCAR.com CSR. She told me that the slow mobile load speeds are being addressed and that the mobile app will be released soon but no date was given.

The CSR's name was Angie. She types like she's a svelte 5'8" brunette with blond streaks.

From what I see of the new site it sucks. Guess if your not going through a social media access then your screwed. No longer can you go to one page to see the schedules. Just like everything new these days on the net the new stuff you have to do more steps to get where you want to go. When the net 1st started up the new updates made things more efficient now they make things more difficult. Like photobucket you could go to your page right away now you can't get to your photos without going through three pages and now youtube wants my phone number before I can get to my channel and they don't like that I use my initials as my channel name.

There's a schedule link at the top of the page just like there was before. If you click it, the entire schedule appears. From that screen you can either view the entire schedule, print the entire schedule, or even download the entire schedule as a .pdf or directly into your Outlook Calendar.

Standings go back to 1949. I hope that's early enough.

This site is shaping up. Some pages give view options which makes it nice.

websites always take months to get things right. I'll give them some time, but that huge front page needs a good trimming. I have a feeling the first page we now see, before scrolling, will be dedicated to big ads before long.

I agree. They'll run all kinds of metrics to see what's working and what's not. Lots of tweaks coming for sure.

FYI, there are a pair of buttons in the upper right marked 'Select Visual Mode'. Try the right one of the pair.

There's also a link on the upper left marked 'Download Full Schedule PDF' that provides a single page schedule.

From now on the only reason I'll log in to nascar.com is to go to the raceview or fantasy games section if even they will work properly. I understand that the so called cyber smarties on here will take what I'm about to say to task but here goes. It is made for tiny little touch screens not a pc and you have to go through way to much horsesh!t to find the replacements of something that was easier and better. And I really dont like to repeat myself but here goes. Dont bother to try and make me see the light because I'm in my pissed off stubborn as a mule phase with this.

I have been in IT for 26 years. Here is the way it works. Quality IT, or Web Masters are expensive. So ... management hires a FOS. (Fresh Outa School). They get them for minimum wage and they hack around for a few weeks until they get it right or nearly right. It is just business. A Quality web site will not make or break NASCAR, so it is not a priority. That is the way the 6 figured management thinks. It is the way of the world in these difficult economic times.
