The new NASCAR.com coming January 1st

This website video feed sucks for Android. Android devices higher than 4.0 are no longer supported. So much for making it available to the public with new devices.

NASCAR - ZERO

I tried the digital calendar and it didn't work with two calendar programs. The pdf is fine and I manually updated my calendar that IDs tracks by a common name (city or historical race name) and not by race sponsors.

I've got the calendar imported into my Outlook calendar and in turn onto my smart phone. I'm not sure how it works with other software.

Thanks dpk, it also works with Google calendar but it doesn't work with Mozilla Sunbird (dead program but I still like it) and VueMinder Lite.

Geez, Google has a **** load of control over a **** load of people on this planet and I seriously doubt most of them even realize it

Apps, electronic calendars, PDF, mozilla, Vueminder....

OMG, look what's happened to nascar.
HEHE - it's not just NASCAR, I take a gps and laptop on fishing trips for lake map software although one of my fishing buddies prefers to "use the force" and his eyes (probably because his depth finder is broken).

I live by GPS because I suck at following written directions. Between GPS, the laptop and the force, those fish don't stand a chance. I guess throwing away your pole and using water vaporizing laser weapons that catch and cook in one step is next, so the fish should enjoy the good times while they last. ;)

AAAARRRRGGGHHH
I despise that freakin site.

With HOTPASS going away I am looking for a sign from NASCAR.COM that there will be a good live video interface. I found this here: http://www.nascar.com/en_us/raceview.html

- RaceView and RaceView 360 are being consolidated into RaceView Premium with all the same basic features but an enhanced experience for 2013

What the heck does "enhanced experience" mean?

RaceView Premium
RaceView Premium puts you in complete control for every NASCAR Sprint Cup race! With virtual video featuring multiple camera angles and live race data, you can fully customize the drivers YOU want to watch. Listen to LIVE in-car audio for all 43 Sprint Cup drivers each week, as well as the radio broadcasts for Sprint, Nationwide and Camping World Series races. Get REAL TIME stats on positions, speeds, pit stops, points and much more.

And this "virtual video with multiple camera angles? This sounds like what we had before 2013.

NO HOTPASS! WTF!!!! AND NOW I HAVE TO DEAL WITH WHATEVER NASCAR.COM PUTS OUT. Which will probably be an animated GUI that runs several minutes behind live action.

If Brian's minions screw this one up, I'm gonna go on a rant so long, that racing forums will have to buy a bigger sever to store the chit chili that I will be serving up for quite a while.

When you say it twice your really really pissed huh Joe.

Don't read the second one. It contains a subliminal Keselowski message.

You mean like

Nah, that's not subliminal. Subliminal would be

See? Now THAT'S subliminal.

I was actually able to log in to NASCAR.com the other day so they are making progress. I wish they'd release a beta version of the app so we could start giving them feedback.

This funny race image has been up at nascom all day.

Stupid site now....half page banner...9000 scrolls to get to the bottom...looks like it's for the new generation of fans that can't read.......only pictures:rolleyes:

Did you bother to read the story behind it or listen to Joie Chitwood on that live feed @ 12:30? It might make more sense to you.

Yeah. Perhaps you need to look closer....or explain how cars on the roofs and hoods of other cars is the future. :)

Doing all that rendering work and then throwing the cars together like that is pretty bad.

Remember who we're taking about here Fender. This is a Joie Chitwood original piece of art. You never know, he could be bringing back the "Joie Chitwood Thrill Show - Hell Drivers" who thrilled audiences in large and small towns alike with their death-defying automobile stunts. Maybe, just maybe, that picture isn't all as far-fetched as you think.

Damn, and I thought the cars were a very sloppy add on. Silly me.

Maybe nascar felt that 43 cars didn't look exciting enough so they threw and extra dozen on top. It seems that not many people noticed the car mess or the big purple gash running across the track, so maybe it's just me.

Raceview is online.
Thanks for the 'heads up'. I see that their prices are the same but so is the service. A disappointment IMO. I was really expecting to see some sort of major overhaul of their service. Something like 'real time video' and not 'virtual video rendering'. They've given me no reason to upgrade beyond the now named 'Race View - Audio' package.

The Race View audio just reminded me of something. Normally I record my drivers scanner feed each week off of nascar.com's scanner option. I recently found a great Add-on for FireFox for doing this. I don't want to use this forum to promote anyone's software or add-on's but if anyone at all is interested, PM me and I'll give you the info.

My Raceview subscription is good until 4/22, I'll make my mind up by then but will probably keep it if the price stays the same.
