I like Loy Allen's Hooters scheme from 1994. He won three poles(including the pole for the Daytona 500, first rookie to do so), but overall his rookie year was horrid as he had 12 DNQ's including every short track race and both road course races.

always was nostalgic for his hooters schemes. I felt the 19 looked pretty good with those colors.

After winning that pole in Daytona, it seemed like the sky was the limit for Loy.

anyone know what he’s been up to since the 90s?

I guess I can look into google further... didn’t see much right away...

This guy was a good one. Lost after a terrible crash at Indianapolis in 1973.

Another favorite car/paint scheme of mine from the early 90s, the No20 Fina Lube Ford owned by the late Dick Moroso. Joe Ruttman got a top-five running for this team at Talladega in the 1993 Winston 500(the same race where Rusty Wallace flipped as he went across the finish line).

Speaking of which...

Amazingly, Rusty was credited with sixth despite literally flying across the finish line on his nose.

Found a cool page searching for images from Orange County and South Boston speedways in the 80s where I spent so many weekends. That led me to a recap of a triple header we attended at Martinsville in 1987. Man I miss these days...

I like the pickles.
