Not full of bucks like many trucks he beat. The owner was on the horn saying take care of it after the finish during burn out time. Chastain did bring it back without a scratch on it I think. Lots of cost cutting has really helped the trucks with the smaller teams.

I went by this and it is last weeks column on the far right. Burton to get 40 points from Iowa. :idunno: yeah your right, he might be 9th he lost 9 more points to Rhodes if I am figuring it right. I suck at this because I don't care for the cobbled up points system.

Enfinger 5th got as many points as Moffitt who finished 2nd.

So you're sitting on Pit road knowing full well at the minimum you are getting ready to cost yourself 12,500 dollars and yet you just roll out and crash him anyway. Just stupid,stupid stupid.
 
Ross's 44 has been DQd. Win has been taken away, Moffitt is the winner, 44 team appealing.
 
got the battering ram to deal with and a DQ, yep looks like Nascar is back on the right track :p

Same for me. Hate that it had to happen to Chastain, but if the winning car is illegal it should be DQ'ed.
Ross has still got plenty of time to get another one.
 
How many times is this kid gonna have the rug jerked out from underneath him? First his CGR ride now this? Damn.

both of those were circumstances beyond his control. He's doing a damn good job controlling what he can. P.S. and he made an extra 50 thou for his trouble..that will buy a lot of watermelons

Yeah this is one of those things that sounds good on paper but will be bad when put into practice. Fans fantasized about Logano, Busch, Harvick getting wins taken away but the reality is those teams don’t have to cheat to win so it’s very unlikely they’ll ever have a win stripped. Even if they did break the rules, I really don’t think nascar has the balls to take a win away from a fan favorite or from one of their bread and butter teams. So the only drivers that will have wins taken away are second tier or mid pack teams that have to skirt the rules to win. Bummed for Ross but nascar fans got what they wanted

that is a matter of opinion. Personally I think it is B.S.
 
I don't think NASCAR cares who the driver/team is, if they fail inspection I think they will take the win away whether it's Chastain or Logano or Dale Jr. or anyone.

Homestead would be the only exception, I don't think any championship contender would get DQ'd unless it's something extremely blatantly obvious.

I'm betting no appeal, caught red handed, but will get the response. I don't know what happened.
 
What I don’t get is that he passed post qualifying and pre race inspection. How can you pass pre race and then not pass later on the same day? Doesn’t seem like you can change much on a 15 second pit stop
 
That's gotta suck for Chastain. Poor guy went from basically being locked into the chase and $50,000 richer, only to have both taken away within a couple of hours. He's gotta be quite frustrated about the whole thing.

My only guess is that their pre race inspections arent as in depth as their post race. I guess it would make sense as they probably figure whatever they dont find before the race, they will make sure to find it afterwards, especially if you finish in the top 5.

Also, why do I have to wait 299 seconds between posts? Maybe that's yet another glitch that I must deal with when posting on my mobile device.

PLUS, they know about the NASCAR post-race inspection policy. Fans deserve a full explanation from the Team and NASCAR. Any secrecy is absurd if they want fans to continue to show up...
 
Damn, that sucks for Ross, if any driver needs to find JJ's golden horseshoe, its Ross.
