Gordon is not the only one that blew it, Edwards for example. McDowell is a road course expert.
 
But Fellows and Said are aging. They arent terrible now, they are just above average road course drivers. McDowell is still young and in ten years I can see him being the prime road ringer everyone wants.

Huh? maybe hasn't been racing as long, but he was/is in Grand Am, and Rolex, was a driving instructor at Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving? that work for ya.

That's a reasonable point, but McDowell has had one too many crashes (just from dumb moves on road courses) for me to rate him highly. I don't think he'll maintain position in the race.

hide an watch. If the junk he is driving doesn't lay down on him, he will be up front all day long. Guess you haven't watched very many N'wides on road courses. He usually races there. 2nd and a 6th last year in N'wide road courses. Average finish is 5.75 the last 4 road courses in N'wide. I don't think he will finish that high in cup, but a top 10 wouldn't surprise me.

I have. McDowell had JGR equipment in Nationwide and didn't win in it (and dive-bombed into Penske drivers in consecutive races last year). He was great in Star Mazda and ARCA, but how long ago was that? 6, 7, 8 years?
 
Wow Gordon would be lucky if he finishes anywhere near a top 15.

Let the suckage continue.
 
I dont think strategy is going to save them, or Hendrick Motorsports for that matter.

All of them seem to be slow.

I dont know how you can suck here for so long and not get it right at some point. Gordon hasn't seen the top 5 cars in in over 5 years. He's very acquainted with the high 20s and 30s however.

Honestly, Gordon should suffer the consequences and finish last.

This guy used to be a master at this track and now he doesn't even get top 15s at the track.

2007 really mind f**** him. He hasn't been the same since almost winning it then.

They've got some kind of inside info . Danica is back there because she can't drive . Stenhouse is back there because he has inferior cars . Gordon is back there because he has 'suckage' . Not sure why Ambrose is back there . It's all Greek to me.

Considering what the Penske boys said about using Kurts setup from 2 years ago on all their NW cars, I would expect Jimmie and the other HMS pretty boys to call Kurt for a little help. ;)
 
You know I've never really rooted for Kyle Busch since he started racing the Toyota's but man I kinda want him to win today. I've always like his cars paint scheme's, very marketable M&M's Mars has always been my favorite candy, they oughta put the chocolate milk back on the bottom of the front end like last years car. More than that though it's just weird to me how dominant he always is in the trucks & Busch Series but he can only manage to win 3 or 4 Cup races a year, guess that's testimony to how competitive Cup racing is. Most laps led in both of the last 2 races but no victory, so if neither of the Jr's (Dale & Martin) win today, then i'd like to see the M&M's car take it...
 
I think Kyle doesnt dominate the cup series simply because he doesnt have the best team by a wide margin or the fact that hes not better then 90% of drivers in the cup field.

Still, he'll win a cup title soon imo
 
It would be something to see the same players again for the third year in a row. That would probably be a record of some sort. 9,2,18, or 9, 18, 2 is my guess.. going to be hard to beat Ambrose.

Definitely, but don't look for Keselowski to play nice this time around.

R U Serious? Not better than 90% of the Cup field? Oh, I get it, you were being sarcastic... The guy has more bad luck due to impatience than anything else. Maybe he just needs a reminder that his Cup car is his primary ride not his self owned Busch car or his Craftsman Truck...

I dont mean it as an insult. im a Kyle fan but in cup, the drivers are very close in talent.. Kyle Busch is not superior to most in cup like he is in Nationwide.
