It's 50 right now, cloudy,damp,raw. I just threw a log in the fireplace to drive out the chill.
 
I heard the other day that all of North Carolina is now officially out of the drought. Now how can that be? I'm wondering if someone somewhere isn't going back a few years to see if we are still below average for a ten year period. :rolleyes:

Flood Warning now in effect. Just like a year ago, here we go again. :rolleyes:
 
We're under a flood warning now, and a 100% chance of rain all day today followed by 70% tomorrow and Wednesday and 50% Thursday. It doesn't look like we'll be done with the rain until Saturday at the earliest. :mad:
 
It's still raining. Forecast is calling for 2 more inches of rain and we're already flooded out here in Southern Maryland.:( Tonight's race has been cancelled.:mad:
 
It's raining, it's pouring... and inbetween the rain it's a balmy 90-something degrees with 100% humidity. Summer weather has begun, fun, fun, fun!
 
It's already 82 and climbing. As I said earlier, summer has come to East Texas. Next cool weather can expected in October? -- Maybe.

Talked to my girlfriend in Montana yesterday --- she had snow over the weekend.
 
85*, the sun is shining for once. But we've got storms in the forecast every day this week.

60's and cloudy with showers everyday until Saturday
 
90's and went from sunny to cloudy.

Can't take the dog for a walk longer than 2 blocks- we both get too hot. Today we just sat in the front yard with him in the harness and leash attached but laying on the ground.

one of our top priorities when buying houses is a decent size yard (preferably fenced or we'd fence it) for the animals. add a doggie door and they come and go as they please.

C'mon you little weenie. I work in that heat day in and day out and this old fat man doesn't complain. :) I can understand the dog, but you! Yer a youngin', still in the PRIME of his life and you can't take the heat for two blocks? Lordy, what are we doing with our children these days? Get yer butt back out there and work on it. Leave the dog at home cause he's probably got a good excuse, but not you. Get out there and buck some hay bales. It's good for you. :cool:
 
I'm a weenie right along with my dogs. They are flat as pancakes under the front deck in the shade. I'm in the relatively cool house.

It is 92 outside --- too hot for this old dog.
 
Woke up to severe storms this morning -- thunder was literally shaking the house. Got more storms on the way now, and a very high probability of storms every day through Friday. :rolleyes:

my friend in baltimore is powerless currently.

Slow- You take a dog that's half chow and half pit bull, that was born on 20+ acres, and stick him on a city lot. Let me know how it goes...
 
We got the same set of storms down here. Knocked power out at work, and the sky was scary dark, almost nighttime dark on the way home at 4.
 
It's HOT!! :( Temps in the 90s, heat index well over 100. The heat really makes my psoriasis flare. ...I need to move!

Move up here during the winter and you'll beg to go back. I'll take the 100° heat over -10° anyday.
