Storms deliver punch to area

i grew up mostly in fairmount. now live in the big city of catlin. <g>
 
We had some serious storms last night. It was kind of strange though. We had a lot of very loud thunder and a lot of serious lightning, but very little rain by comparison.
 
78°, sunny skies. It's a beautiful spring afternoon. :)

It's supposed to get up in to the 80's this week.

was on temporary duty in albuquerque during august a few years back. while eating in the hotel restaurant overheard a conversation from people at the next table. they had come up from texas (houston i think) to escape the heat. albuquerque was mid to high 90's. <g>

We've finally had three consecutive days without rain! :rolleyes:

We didn't have a Spring at all here in DC... just rain, rain, and more rain. :mad:
 
Afterall one definition of spring is: water flowing naturally from the earth. Seems to me that rain fits that description. :D
 
Rain is one thing. Endless, non-stop downpours everyday for months with only a day or two of sunshine a month is another. :rolleyes:
