yep pretty much. sideforce is almost impossible to figure when it gets right down to it. The coefficient of friction is a variable that changes with track temp, tire wear, variable tire pressures AND heat. Then throw in the banking angle along with the outside temp and it is almost impossible to figure, so Goodyear uses cast iron tires. Cheap and easy. They have been phoning it in for awhile, last year we were supposed to see tire fall off also. They use multiple types of rubber in the side wall and different types in the tread. They talk about better grip tread design and fall off but it doesn't happen.
and we gotta have rubber and glue laid down to produce a " good " race

you trying to put words in my mouth that I never said now? You go ahead and complain about the racing all ya want, makes me no never mind, I would watch something else myself.
You have consistently made comments that have alluded to your dislike of last year's racing. Don't call me a hater because we have differing opinions on what makes for good racing.

I thought the racing could be better and it proves to be so, you and others don't like it? that's your problem. And like I said, it is going to be a long year for the haters
The way I saw it was if the leader so much as made a sleight mistake or got held up by a lapper, 2nd 3rd, or sometimes even 4th place would be all over him. And that happened quite a few times today, so yeah the leader has the advantage, but not like being 4 or 5 seconds out front and managing the gap. I think that will get closer as the teams get better with the setups.

Depends on how many timing loops a track has but it's a matter of simply changing position between each loop on the track - so you could be side-by-side with a car for a lap and nose ahead of each other over the course of the lap and change 'position' several times. Most elsewhere I see 'pass' counters they only tally at the end of the lap but it's also hard to put timing loops around race tracks, especially non-ovals. Some series only ever score at the line even.
