Who will drive for Furniture Row next season?

kenny wallace ? ha! after all .....they reminded us all weekend he has 900 nascar starts ! ha!

i hate his tv crap.......but obv has lotsa followin..........mktg wise.....he'd get frr lotsa tv time ?
Kurt has said that he has had many offers to put other sponsors on the car since he has been driving it. Always been Furniture Row whoever is driving it. So I don't have a clue if he is looking for advertising or winning the race. I think he wants to win with Furniture row on the hood. wallace driving a late model at a small dirt track might work?

I would take Kenny Wallace over Elliott Sadler, aside from Milka Duno and Steven Wallace I would take anyone over Elliott Sadler.

I am not sure of Hornishs future with Penske, but if he doesnt have intentions of putting him in a cup car by 2015, I would send them a resume.

Jeff Burton might be a safe option, but I dont see much of a future. I would want a driver under 40.

I'd love to see Labonte get a shot at it, but I highly doubt that happens. If it isn't Burton my guess is they will go with Brian Scott. I don't think he deserves it, but with the RCR connection I could see it happen.

If I was FRR I'd go after James Buescher. Unless Scott has him locked up in the 51.

As a Hornish fan I would love to see him leave Penske and head over to a Chevy program.

I honestly think the 78 would be a better ride than a 3rd Penske ride. Won't have to be third fiddle to dumb and dumber, and the ride will always be fully funded at least until Furniture Row decides to call it quits.

rcr prolly needs scott's $$ in nns.

young blaney....long long term ?

Whats wrong with Duno or Duffalt Greg, you seem to like shiny women drivers

Yeah it'll be interesting to see if any of the guys who stepped down to NNS (Sadler,Hornish,Smith) ever get another shot...I'm actually starting to think Hornish could be a fit with FRR.

They need to go with someone young, they know what the car can take now.imo they would being backwards if they put some old time driver in the car.

If hornish is looking at dollars and cents, FFR would be the way to go. He can make a whole lot more money in a 20th car in cup than he is doing in N'wide. but winning the whole thing in the 78 in cup would be a hell of a stretch.

hornish ta frr........only w/ penske blessin.......like dinger.

I don't know about everyone else but when I come on this board I would rather see people talking racing than looking at girls in bikini's. But that's just my personal opinion, though you have to admit that Danica is one of the most talked about drivers on the board. I have to wonder if Greg Biffle were to dawn a bikini whether he might get a lot more attention.

that don't work for me DG. BUT I do wonder if the only women in cup we will see compete will also be models in various states of undress. might sound bad, but I would love to see a women of shall we say average looks drive the wheels off of a cup car.

as long as we have our druthers, having racing threads in a racing forum posted with stick n ball, there are plenty of places to go with all that. yeah right I know, SOI is full of it, batter up

No question about the money, it probably pays more to start and park than run Nwide. I've never thought much of Hornish but he is showing some consistency this year and he did better than I expected last year in the 22. As far as I understand Penske said take any Cup ride you want, just no one was calling him lol. With the way he has been driving this year that may change. I think FRR would be better of with Hornish than say a Burton or Sadler.

Hope the 78 crew can land a driver of KB's caliber, but I know they are gonna have a rough row to hoe doing that. Maybe they'll find someone with enough experience to help them continue to grow into a contender. Really enjoyed watching that team do well this year.

While the smart thing to do would be wait until Allenbaba issues an opinion , I will throw out thre names that might be interested . Ambrose , Almirola and Truex .

Ambrose and Almirola have both said they will likely stay at RPM..maybe the 78 crew gives them a late call.. Idk. Ryan Truex? He hasn't proved anything since his injury.

Yeah , they gotta love workin at RPM , why would they want to move up to a chase car?

Or does Ted mean Martin Truex Jr? If NAPA drops MWR then maybe Truex is out of a ride?

Lol I compartmentalize or make a distinction. I like to see drivers make it on their driving talents. I do like them pretty but I dont have to be limited to basing their driving credentials on their appearance.

But sponsors right or wrong probably do.

Maryeve is a nice lady and a 10, maybe an 11, on the appearance scale and even that's not getting her quality rides. I don't know how Danica does it.

Greg, let's face it, a whole lot of advertising is based on looks.
Although, I don't see Terry Bradshaw being hired on looks. LOL Maybe it's his persona.

Four Super Bowl rings probably help.

The 78 is in a tough spot. Safe bet would be Burton just because they don't have many other options. But he's not really a much better of an option than Ragan, Gilliland, Sadler, Hornish, R.Smith, Labonte. Austin Dillon will get the 29 and Allgaier the 51 most likely. Larson is in the 42. Bayne probably sticks with the 21 part time again.

Only other options are possible Brian Scott and truck series guys.

They could have already signed deals with RPM but even if not, on the other side, why would FRR want them? As for as Truex Jr. I think he only would want out if Napa is out. MWR is the better overall situation.

Really , this is too good a ride for any of those drivers . Ambrose (Marcos ) Truex (Martin) or Almirola (Aric) would be logical candidates if they don't like Montoya's demands .I would have added Jamie Mac , but I don't think he would leave .

The guys I mentioned are not in the chase and the 78 is . Berrier is a top crew chief and the team is improving . Anything less than a top twenty driver and the team is history .

As of today... my money is on Ryan Blaney.

You're not going to find another Kurt. The next best thing is to try and grow one.
