That's just wonderful, but the inner edge on the high side is the boundary line
No??? It’s below the DOUBLE yellow line. Keyword DOUBLE.

Fake news. That's just wonderful, but the inner edge on the high side is the boundary line
2nd question: Did you see the Victory Lane interview?
Call a cop.Wrong guy was there. NASCAR made a crap call, as always. He’s clearly not below the DOUBLE yellow line and already in 1st place.
Call a cop.
I could admit someone made a rule infraction regardless of the driver.Because NASCAR made a crap call? Lol if this happens to Kyle Busch you be saying the same. Actually jk because NASCAR wouldn’t take a win from him.

No penalty. Sauter goes on to win.
Remember when this was ruled a legal pass?
No penalty. Sauter goes on to win.
Haley is a good kid and a wheelman, thank god he got a Trucks win this season. Only thing that makes this better then the Brennan Poole robbery a few years back. Also, lmao @Larson taking shots at Poole
Remember when this was ruled a legal pass?
Lagasse and Sauter both passed Haley.Sauter never improved his position or whoever it was in the yellow truck
That was 2003, before the yellow line rule.Already tried bringing that up. Dale got away with that cause he’s Dale. Unfortunately NASCAR doesn’t like when drivers try to “make names for themselves” in a series that advertises that very slogan.
Nascar “clarified” the yellow line rule in 2008. There was still a rule for years before it that said one couldnt advance position unless forced (again a judgement call).Yes. Prior to the yellow line rule in 2008.

What part of “clarified the yellow line rule” don’t you get?Nascar “clarified” the yellow line rule in 2008. There was still a rule for years before it that said one couldnt advance position unless forced (again a judgement call).
This 2003 instance is still a huge inconsistent call by textbook definition.
It’s a bad rule that is managed horribly. What part of “clarified the yellow line rule” don’t you get?
If the line rule was set in 2008, what makes you think it doesn’t exist in 2018?
“...However, Haley’s No. 24 dipped below the yellow line and per the NASCAR rule book, the pass was ruled illegal, giving the win to Larson...”

08The out of bounds line was in place for that race. As a Junior fan I remember the controversy. Watch the clip, Joy, DW and Larry are even talking about it.

Once unclear, NASCAR yellow-line rule now black and white

Fail inspection: “Give us some points and you can keep the trophy”
Avoid a potential wreck by moving slightly below the yellow line and winning by way more than the “advantage” earned you: “No flag for you except the black one”
This is ticky tacky as ****. This wasn’t the entrance of 3, it was the exit of 4
NASCAR will not mention the fact that Haley had P1 prior to going below the double line, and could not advance his position further once having gone under the line.Fail inspection: “Give us some points and you can keep the trophy”

I saw a guy pass below the yellow line and he wasn’t forced below the yellow line.
Nobody else passed below the yellow line.
Follow the rules or walk to Victory Lane and congratulate the winner.

They spent an inadequate amount of time to make a final call and absolutely mishandled it. It’s embarassing and the integrity is dropped again.
He earned me as fan tonight too, hell of some driving he did tonight. He’s got a fan in me. Hope he competes for the Truck title after getting crapped on tonight.
Plate racing sucks.I get it but it’s extremely nit picky. In a sport where so many other things are so inconsistent. This guy didn’t drive below the yellow line and advance his position.

huh? you need to take a look at the aerial photos of Daytona. If nothing else, you can see why they have the rule in the first place when it comes down to the finish line. It's a half a mile from 4
