Umm would a rear diffuser have that car on the ground when it got backwards?
At that speed? No wayUmm would a rear diffuser have that car on the ground when it got backwards?
Yeah that car was basically straight backwards when it went up I don't think anything could keep it downAt that speed? No way
A battleship anchor wasn't keeping it on the ground.Umm would a rear diffuser have that car on the ground when it got backwards?
At that speed? No
Just wondering if anything could have been done. ThanksYeah that car was basically straight backwards when it went up I don't think anything could keep it down
Unfortunately, I'm sure NASCAR will revive it by Talladega. Nothing would please me more than to ingest Corvids on this one.If the pack racing dies down with the NextGen, I'm all for it.
Up close pic of this
Giant 190 mph lawn dart?How?!?!
Exactamundo.Giant 190 mph lawn dart?
That's what scares me. We see this happen and people forget about the danger of the sport. I see this and think "man we got away with one"I hope NASCAR would not be over confident in this regard.
Have they ever been in the last 20 years?I hope NASCAR would not be over confident in this regard.
Count your blessings, for sure. This could have been a lot worse that what it was:

Pretty sure Brian France was the epitome of over confidence.Have they ever been in the last 20 years?
That was Michael Jordon's busHave they moved where the drivers park their motor homes? I didn't know they were outside the track on the backstretch now.
I thought you were talking about safety not stupid.Pretty sure Brian France was the epitome of over confidence.

Not to undermine this wreck, but that was without question not worse than Newman's crash. Newman went into the fence then got hit driver side window, was probably concussed and missed a few races after. That was worse than Newman & Keselowski last year @ the 500. Glad he's okay. Congrats to the winner.
Tbh I think as far as the the flip it was worse in this case, but nothing compares to the hit Newman took afterwards in his door, so still not close to as bad as Newman's wreck overall IMONot to undermine this wreck, but that was without question not worse than Newman's crash. I don't even remember Brad last year.

I think he's referring to the wreck on the final lap of the 500.Not to undermine this wreck, but that was without question not worse than Newman's crash. Newman went into the fence then got hit driver side window, was probably concussed and missed a few races after.

Not trying to be a d!ck but, A ) Newman's wreck at the 500 was 2 years ago. B ) Keselowski wasn't even in the race when the wreck happened. C ) I don't think any one of us can pick which one is "worse".That was worse than Newman & Keselowski last year @ the 500. Glad he's okay. Congrats to the winner.
agreed they learnt there lesson when they lost Dale.Have they ever been in the last 20 years?
