Danica Patrick seems intent on immersing herself in NASCAR controversy lately.

She is feuding with Joey Logano.

She is ripping NASCAR’s diversity program.

She is complaining about qualifying at Talladega after her boyfriend got bounced.

Here’s a thought: maybe if she wasn’t 28th in the Sprint Cup standings, we would care.

Those poking sport at her current standing should be aware holding the 28th position in points is no small task.

Of those 27 drivers ahead of her in the standings, only 3 have competed in fewer races than she has. It must also be noted she's comfortably ahead of 6 drivers who have been in all 33 cups events run to date. Those behind her include all drivers for the entire BK Racing effort.

Last season Patrick only out pointed 3 drivers starting as many races as she did. The GoDaddy Girl is on pace to double that number this season. The improvement in every category is undeniable.

@Mr. Gregory

Kasey's rant wasn't much, but it is interesting he didn't move No neck and picked on Biffle.

Examples of the kind of rants I'm talking about..

Tony, after Logano's block: "He's just a rich kid. WE blue collar guys are going to teach him a lesson"
There's countless Tony holier than thou rants about tires, dumb media questions, etc.

Brads "I want to e your leader" speech at the 2012 banquet, rants about "..all I ever believed in has been shaken" after Penske got caught cheating. What a rip my heart out and throw bleach in my eyes tear jerker that was! Then the stuff about a hooded Rick H. and Joe G. drugging Penske employees and dragging them off to their own shops.

Kyle Busch....I could fill 4 pages with all his wanker rants. I remember when he was in the chase and flat out walled Reuttiman, who returned the favor. Kyle then said "If nascar doesn't have a problem with what he did...well, we'll just have a meeting after the race". :XXROFL:Kyle called nascar to HIS hauler.

Danica taking nascar to task for giving Ricky the shaft, and then the whole drive for diversity rant. I also thought her desire to wait for payback until she could ruin Joey's chase was cheap. Payback in THAT race is all she should have looked for.

Carl's actions and psycho comments during his rivalry with Brad. ESPN did an "In the rear view" interview after he came close to killing Brad by turning him in the tri-oval (who the hell does that) and he was joking about the whole thing. Then he slipped when he was asked what he was thinking at the very moment he saw Brads car in the air.."I thought, well, there goes my career...". The look on his face when he realized what he just said was one of sheer terror. ESPN took that video down in just a few hours.

IMO, all those are guys and girls who think they have become bigger than the sport.

In my opinion and in all fairness she has never been as stupid or idiotic as those moments you listed, it just isn't on scale imo.
Brad and Tony both are bigger drama queens.

She probably could have been better with the PR last week, she sounded silly at times. But still it is nothing compared to the level of idiocy those two have mastered and demonstrate routinely, it takes a lot of creativity and commitment to achieve that level. She hasn't even reached Hamlins Diva capabilities.

I just think her comments last week are being over blown.

Agreed. There's your standard level of idiocy, and then there's Kes and Stewie's. Hamlin is on a level unto himself.

Then, somewhere far beyond those guys, way out in the stratosphere, there's Kyle Busch.

I'm thinking more the storming into Heltons trailer and letting him have it because her boy friend DNQ'd. That's about as lame as it gets.

Did y'all forget about Harvick?

I'd say he places just below Tony on the jackass list.

I thought that was silly too, or lame. But imo silly doesn't compare to the continued idiocy of Brad Kezalowski.
He takes it to a Perez Hilton level of disgust. More drama than a spoiled child, and it is becoming a norm.

Danica doesn't come anywhere near to his level of idiocy. And in spite of Brads enormous talent she is a better representive for Nascar, and Godaddy, than he is for Nascar or Miller. They should cringe when scum like him holds their product in his hands and gets drunk. Why would anyone look at him and want what he is what he is drinking.

:XXROFL:

Quit holding back, Greg. Tell us how you really feel.

lol I've never seen you this passionate.

Edit: When the subject isn't hot women.

I mean in a way its good that she did not let the powers that be steam roll her beliefs. I would like to have heard exactly what she said in the hauler. I can only imagine it is much milder than what Kurt or tony or kevin would have said in her position.

Right? It's as if bad Brad made some negative comments about his rear end.

He has just become too chronic. I will not say I am even handed, after all I am a Harvick fan.

When Kez did the inspired and impressed by Ray Lewis thing after winning the title in 2012. I knew he was mentally screwed up, and he is proving it on routine basis.

A real paradox, because he is obviously one of the best drivers. A lot of mental brilliance is involved in those drives along with his idiocy.

I didn't like the Ray Lewis stuff, but I let it slide. The banquet is where I started getting tired of it, and the following year I had enough. I still enjoy his racing though. Very talented.

2012 was a fluke. Everyone knows it, a few will say it.

No, not everyone thinks that.

IMO, Brad raced hard and smart, and he earned that title in 2012. Let's not take away from his accomplishment because we may not like how he celebrated it or some of the things he has done since then.

Most of it was excellent, IMO. Then he started saying to the drivers "I wan't to be your leader". o_O
I just watched the speech. It was pretty darn good.

I didn't have a problem with his "I want to be your leader" statement, which he said very briefly at the end. He was talking about how there were a bunch of really smart people in the room that know how to solve problems, and as the champion, he wanted to lead them in helping to solve whatever problems he was referencing. It came across to me as an "ambassador of the sport" type of thing. No big deal IMO.

I'm another that didn't know that . I was very pleased to have a new , young gun champion . And was pleased that he was able to bring a championship to Penske . The one , two punch that he and Joey bring for Penske is really pretty special .

I liked Brad okay until he started going over the edge with his particular brand of horsecrap. I think that for the last two or three years he has had the superstar syndrome that a lot of performers like Justin Bieber and others get. I sincerely hope he never wins another race much less another championship. That's my opinion.

I just felt he got way ahead of himself and sounded way too egotistical. I could have given it a pass if it wasn't for the 'leadership' he provided.

He really got to you, didn't he? lol

If he grew a pair of balls and REALLY stood up and duked it out when he had to, I would enjoy seeing him get back to hard nosed, take no prisoners racing. Alas, he's too much of a ***** to actually pull that off, so we get a screeching drama queen instead..

i was a big Rusty fan, hate he couldn't get 1 for the captain, then when Newman came in i was double hopeful. never cared for Brad when he joined from Jr Motorsports, but he grew on me and like Ted was pleased he got it done for Roger. now not sure how i feel about him, it seems to change from week to week from his actions. but i do believe whoever win for years to come will have to beat him to win more than any other driver.

If anybody but Jr would have whipped Gordon's butt at Martinsville, we would have had a lively week on here. Hopefully Texas will be a good one. Kez and Harvick I know for sure won't be driving around protecting a points lead. Go Danica
