Brad Keselowski - Official Thread

It looks like Brad K has been feeling his oats so far this year and could very well win the triple crown of Nascar. Brad has got horsepower, horse sense and wont get horse collared into a bad situation. Unless saddled with a bad car he usually gets out of the gate lickety split and has been known to gallop away from the field. Brad has lots of famous fans like Edward Furlong, Lee Horsley, Neil Young & Crazy Horse and singers Willie Nelson & Toby Keith well known for singing Beer For My Horses. Recently Brad was a bit angry and bridled at the thought he was thinking of retirement.

Lucky?

No. Keselowski is the best in the business at plate tracks and he has been the last few years. No other driver has an arguement really.

Well that sucks. Hope the backup is fast too. I'm glad he is aggressive, but sometimes you need to know what move is worth it and what isn't. Great car, trashed.

No worries as Brad was just horsing around last night but will be all business Sunday.

The 2 camp will be fine. Penske has their RP package on point. Brad is still the guy to beat on Sunday even with a backup car. Although there are a handful of others who are close.

Ask Aric Almirola what part luck plays. He was driving along minding his own business last night when the #48 suddenly body slammed him into the wall. The talent of AJ Foyt, Mario Andretti and Dale Earnhardt won't prevent THAT from happening. Skill certainly helps a lot, but at some point you need some luck too. That's one of the things that fans of other sports don't always appreciate about racing. Just being more talented than others isn't enough. The mechanical factor plays a big part in who wins and who loses.

There is no doubt. Im just saying that luck goes for and against everyone, and Brad is the best. His RP success isnt attributed to luck anymore than anyone else in general

No question that Brad is extremely talented, and he is VERY good at RP tracks. That only gets you so far though, and when your luck goes south, there isn't much you can do about it . Jeff Gordon went from winning most of the plate races to mostly not even finishing them.. Same thing with Dale Jr.

For sure. But Dale Jr still ran well usually and did good.

I guess my point is that I'm putting aside other areas and just using the eye test. With that said, Brad overall has been the best.

You're way off base. Brad is the biggest RP talent that we've seen in a long time. His whole career is based off of it. He's unstoppable.

It is ridiculous to say Keselowski's whole career is based on restrictor plate success. I agree he is the best active driver on the plate tracks, but he is an elite driver on every type of track, and has the results to back that up.

I agree, but he shines time and time again on those RP tracks. The 09 car win and then some.

Great job in the Booth today. I enjoy listening to the drivers and I so wish they would get rid of any driver who has been out of a car more than 3 seasons. In cup, I would say any driver out of a car more than 5 years.

Sure makes a difference when you have somebody like Brad that knows the in's and out's of plate racing in the booth.

Defending Cup champion Martin Truex Jr. has been the king of 1.5-mile tracks recently, but Brad Keselowski might be the man to beat this weekend in Las Vegas. The Team Penske driver, who’s coming off a runner-up finish in Atlanta, has won two of the past four Vegas races, and he was headed for a third victory in 2017 before a mechanical issue allowed Truex to slip by in the closing laps. Since 2013, Keselowski's average Vegas finish is 3.4. Jimmie Johnson is the only other active full-time driver with multiple Cup victories at the track.

There is the problem with basin things off history. The remarks fail to take into consideration since then Nascar has neutered the Fords. Before you bring up Harvick, remember there have only been two CC's able to over come Nascar's rules and still compete. Those are the current #4 and #48 cars. Not to sure Knaus has much left in the tank right now.
The new system for checking the cars can neuter the #78 car like what was done to the Fords in the latter part of 2017.

The 78 was so hampered by the new system he finished 5th. Lol what a terrible result

Brad K thread so a good place to say he did a great job in the booth today and really kept Mikey from talking to much.

Lol Chase overdrove the corner with a tight race car on low air pressures and got into him. It wasn't a bump and run.

Does nobody remember the severe tire run that Brad gave him just laps before when he dive bombed him into the corner?

There's nothing to pay back. Hamlin's was egregious, the other two incidents are just part of the show.
