Xfinity RACE thread --- Daytona

Haley is a good kid and a wheelman, thank god he got a Trucks win this season. Only thing that makes this better then the Brennan Poole robbery a few years back. Also, lmao @Larson taking shots at Poole

I wonder how many people would be screaming if a driver went below and got to keep the win.

I hate to defend NASCAR but their hands are tied. He went below the line. If they hadn't made the call even more people would say
that NASCAR let him keep the win because having an underdog win is good publicity.
We can't have it both ways.

Thing is people have drove on the line before just like that and no call. You can bet if one of the “top drivers” did that, like Kyle Busch or something they say it was fair and let him win. He was on the line, maybe 1% below it. Dumb ruling and NASCAR will show how they are inconsistent probably before the season is over.

Looks like Haley crossed the second line after he was already in the lead, and therefore did not advance his position while under the line. FWIW he never put his entire wheels below both lines. This rule and call are absolute ****.

Why the **** are there 2 seperate lines anyway?

Try arguing that with the cop that pulls you over for crossing the double yellow line on a two lane road.

same as the highway, don't go over the double yellow line

This is a quote by you from April:

rule followers salivate if they get more rules to follow. I look at if the race didn't have all of the race control rulings, and if it did. Today it was easy for me, what a cluster. Very hard to watch

Rule: “If in NASCAR’s judgement”

There are no judgement calls with rules. Rules are black and white. The “in NASCAR’s judgement” is malarkey and opens a can of worms for bias.
I cannot like this post enough. What a crock of **** that Larson won.

Judgement calls are made by officials every day in every sport.

I'm a Larson fan and can say that the people defending this ruling are just trying to be contrarian lol. Excluding TRL

That quote refers to the forcing another car below the line. Not a car voluntarily going down there.
I dont think you understand the “in the moment” context where the rule miserably fails logically and hurts driver’s judgment in the car.

BS. Double yellow lines on the highway seperate traffic traveling in opposite directions. There is no opposing traffic below NASCAR’s line.

Try again.
Doesn’t matter if there is opposing traffic or not. Crossing a double yellow line is against the law on ANY highway.
I got a ticket for crossing a double yellow line in a median.

Still above the second line and already ahead of them

This isnt a highway, it’s a race track.
