College Football 2018

It wouldn't but your team would have a better chance in getting in. It's a win win for everyone.
The only other team in the top eight that really has an argument is UCF. Everyone else lost when they shouldn't have. Georgia lost twice, including getting plastered by LSU. Michigan lost twice, including getting a train run on them by Ohio State. Ohio State got bootyblasted by Purdue of all teams. Go to eight and the greatest regular season in all of sports means a lot less.

Those results should mean something.

That's why I would prefer a 6 team playoff (5 conf. champs + 1 at large). Seeding is determined by the committee, #1 and #2 get rewarded with a bye. There are never 8 teams worthy of a championship but 6 would be justifiable. The regular season is still really important and the conference championship games would mean more, plus the drama for the 6th spot would be great.

Are You serious? Who has UCF played? They have an easy schedule, any team from the 5 conferences would be undefeated playing that schedule.
Lol

Georgia blew their shot, dude. You don’t get three chances in college football unless it’s a wild year like 2007.

I was talking to mich about his team Michigan. Ohio State and Michigan would be in if it was top 8.
Fair, but I don’t think either proved this year they deserve to play for a championship. The top two in particular have separated themselves from the rest of the field this year, and ND went unbeaten.

Could care less about any bowl other than the CHEEZE-IT-BOWL. Go Bears!!! :D

Went 5-0 the last two days taking all underdogs and the points.

Taking two more underdogs tomorrow with Purdue +3.5 and Iowa State +3. Gotta go with Syracuse -2, though
I like all three of those.
Man alive, Miami is getting their behinds kicked. (Im trying not to be so harsh.)
Mark Richt - still an underachiever.

The excitement generated by the NCAA Football playoffs is at an all out frantic level.

Is nobody watching? Maybe we should expand this to eight teams to help contain all this enthusiasm?

Glad to see ND showing why they belong in the playoffs....
Deserve has to do with what you did to get here, not what you do when you do get here, though. And semifinal blowouts are not particularly rare. It'd almost make more sense to go back to 2 than to 8...

Don't ever say that again. That is crazy talk.
There's at least one terrible semifinal each year, and letting worse teams in wouldn't make it any better.

Alabama and Clemson kick everyone's **** in each year until they play each other anyways.

Alabama and Clemson kick everyone's sh!t in each year until they play each other anyways.
Clemson got blown out last year. I am sure you watch the NFL. A team barely sneak in the playoffs but they are hot and win the Superbowl. College football is same way.

Who'd Clemson lose to in that semi?

Alabama and Clemson are about to play for it all yet again. Just a few minutes in and Oklahoma already looking outclassed.

Should just make it so Alabama and Clemson play each other at the end of the year no matter what. Four years in a row and three times in the NCG as #1/#2.

Surprised Kirk Herbstreit isn’t lobbying for Oklahoma to be in the Championship Game ahead of Clemson since he seems to think losing to Alabama should move you up in the rankings.

The Fighting Irish received a beatdown in Dallas last night. It wasn’t that they didn’t show up more than they did and were owned by Clemson. Oklahoma and Notre Dame are light years behind Clemson and Alabama.
