Silly Season 2020

Gofas officially signs technical alliance with Stewart-Haas racing

I guess Custer will be in the 32 and Lajoie will be out?

If so, Lajoie has turned into a handy racer. This season actually is better than the previous two with Matt D behind the wheel, but honestly its surprising St. Hilarie said yes. (He was originally against a technical alliance) Must be a good deal for them, hopefully this materializes into a good deal for SHR and GoFas.

I'm not sure why they would get SHR support so I'm thinking Lajoie is out. I hope I'm wrong but.. :idunno:

could also mean 2 cars for a year till one of the SHR contracts run out after 2020

They could, but they will need another charter as well.

Possibly buy one/or lease one from Rick Ware?

I doubt they will have two cars, but that's just my opinion to solely focus on whomever is driving the 32 next season. @StandOnIt might have a point, too. Part-time could be possibility as well.

I'd love to see 2 GoFAS cars. Especially with FRM rumored to downsize. Ware should worry about getting some speed in their chartered cars before getting another one.

I think it's little more than Go Fas buying some used cars from SHR, with some basic setup info included. Corey LaJoie had said that's what was in the works. And he said he was leaning toward staying in the 32. He is also known to be a target for Front Row in the 36 car.

The deal *might* also include some gamesmanship related to the wind tunnel 150 hours limit as well (pure guesswork by me).

I'm just curious where GoFas is getting this funding to do so.

Archie St. Hilarie and Joe Faulk.

GoFas I'm not sure of who their primary sponsor is. They have had so many one-off sponsors per race, its really hard to keep track. Its been about 8-10 or more sponsors on the 32 car this season.

Via jayski, I counted 20 different sponsors on the car this season.

Jesse Little is back next season for Johnny Davis Motorsports:

Love this signing, I hope he does well for JDM.

Whoa, whoa there.

Now, this is an interesting tweet as well:

I feel like something's developing here like we might be seeing a two car team with Suarez and Corey Lajoie

By the way I'll be really happy to see what Corey LaJoie could do with shr equipment the guy is another Matt dibenedetto if not better he really takes care of his stuff these days and he's fast.

That really suprises me that its more than 1 year. I thought CGR had plans for Ross

Multi year.

Chip Ganassi Racing announces Kurt Busch will return to No. 1 in 2020
Kurt Busch has signed a multiyear deal to return to the No. 1 Chip Ganassi Racing Chevrolet in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, the organization announced on Saturday at Texas Motor Speedway.

I'm glad CGR is bucking the trend of pushing veteran drivers out for the next big thing. There's no way they shouldn't hold on to KuBu with how well he drove over the bulk of the season.

I like that Kurt is locked in for multiple years.

Ross's path to Cup just got that more interesting...

I was about to post Suarez probably gets a contract in the 41 again after maybe winning then Harvick went on a tear and I think we know how this one is going to end. Regardless I think Suarez is a lock for the 41 car next year. That's what I figure and my guess is as good as some guy on twitter.

Yeah I dunno why that clown on twatter gets so much credibility from fans.
He knows people in the sport. Sure he misses some, but things change. He was at Texas over the weekend, I'm sure he talked to a lot of people.

So Burton and Herbst are Gibbs full timers in the Xfinity series

Wow, so this is highly unexpected.

Herbst placed full-time already? Man, I'm not sure about this. At least a year in the truck series to get him acclimated? This too soon for him, especially with him struggling in the ARCA series last year.

Money talks and I'm guess there's some behind him

With another guy in a JGR Xfinity car it kinda makes me wonder who will be in the KBM trucks? Seems like gilliland's future is uncertain to say the least and burton's headed to Xfinity

I think its Christian Eckes and Chandler Smith for next year. At least, there was a rumor about them being the drivers for KBM next year.
